One month with the Dell Latitude 5420 laptop
Consumer feedback after using the compact Dell Latitude 5420 laptop for a month
Most of you probably noticed that we like to share product feedback after a month. So, it has been over 30 days of using the Dell Latitude 5420 and it is time to share some impressions, what we like and what we didn't like about the laptop.
Things we liked about the Dell Latitude 5420
There is much to like about the Latitude 5420. It is a compact laptop but also very capable. One of the main features that we value in a product like this laptop is the quality build. This computer is meant to be carried around through offices, airports, cars and parks and it need to handle a lot of stress, vibrations, different temperatures, duty environment and more. It is very important that a business laptop leaves the impression of a well-made product and the Latitude 5420 does leave such impression.
On the other hand this laptop is also quite versatile, it is small but also quite fast. With a powerful Intel i5 processor our Latitude 5420 managed to multitask pretty well. Having opened multiple heavy applications, browsers and media files and the laptop felt stable and managed loads without any hustle.
Dell Latitude 5420 keyboard test
Typical for most Dell laptops, the keyboard and mousepad are almost perfect. They are comfortable and feel sturdy.
Most of the time we had the Dell Latitude 5420 connected to an external monitor, which was no issue for the video capabilities of the laptop.
The 14-inch screen is a bit small for a full day in the office, so we strongly recommend using a bigger display when possible.
The sound coming from the built-in speakers is good, especially for such a small laptop. Of course we wouldn't recommend this computer for multimedia but for business users mostly.
Things we didn't like so much in the Dell Latitude 5420
There are not many things that we didn't like about the Latitude 5420. One of the annoying things that we can probably mention is the Windows 11 operating system that was installed on our machine, but that is a topic for another discussion.
Another thing that could be improved is the battery performance. We haven't checked on Dell's website but there is probably option for bigger battery and therefore longer battery life. Currently our Latitude 5420 manages 3-4 hours on battery maximum.
The Dell Latitude 5420 is a sleek and durable laptop designed for business professionals. It features a 14-inch HD or FHD display, with options for touch or non-touch screens. Under the hood, the Latitude 5420 is powered by a 10th Gen Intel Core processor and up to 64GB of DDR4 memory, making it more than capable of handling demanding tasks such as video editing and data analysis.
One of the standout features of the Latitude 5420 is its robust security options. The laptop includes a built-in fingerprint reader, as well as options for smart card and NFC readers, ensuring that only authorized users can access the device. Additionally, the Latitude 5420 includes Dell's Endpoint Security Suite, which includes a number of security features such as malware protection and data encryption.
The Latitude 5420 also includes a variety of ports for connectivity, including USB-C, HDMI, and Ethernet, making it easy to connect to peripherals such as external displays and hard drives. The laptop also includes a microSD card reader for expanding storage options.
Another great feature of the Dell Latitude 5420 is its long battery life, with up to 20 hours on a single charge, allowing users to work all day without needing to plug in. Additionally, the laptop includes a variety of power management options, such as the ability to set power usage limits and schedule power-saving modes.
Overall, the Dell Latitude 5420 is a solid choice for business professionals in need of a durable and secure laptop with long battery life and a variety of ports for connectivity. It is well suited for professionals in fields such as finance, healthcare, and government, where security and reliability are of the utmost importance.
Other than that, we are pretty happy with the performance of the Dell Latitude 5420, definitely a solid business laptop.

HP EliteBook 745 G5 laptop - long-term review
Our first-hand consumer feedback after over a year with the HP EliteBook 745 G5 laptop
After we spent over an year of using and testing the HP EliteBook 745 G5 ultrabook, we decided it is time to make a full product review.
To begin with, what exactly is the EliteBook 745 G5? This basically is a compact laptop with high-end components designed mostly for business users. The most controversial part of this computer is the mobile Ryzen processor. Still many critics believe that AMD is not manufacturing the optimal mobile processors for laptops and that they have some more work to do before catch up with the latest generations Intel Core processors.
We also think that AMD and the Ryzen series are getting in the right direction if talking about mobile processors. For PC we are quite happy with the desktop versions of the Ryzen machines we are using.

HP ProBook 450 G5 2RS03EA laptop review
Consumer review of the 15.6 inch Intel powered laptop HP ProBook 450 G5 2RS03EA
The business oriented HP ProBook 450 G5 2RS03EA is very popular in Eastern Europe and Asia and thanks to its good specifications and value for money ration it is considered one of HP's successful stories in the laptop market.
You have probably heard that HP struggled a bit in this market due to bad reputation and quality issues in many of their mid-priced laptops. Meanwhile the competition from Dell, Lenovo and Asus had a very aggressive approach in this segment and made it quite difficult for HP to achieve top sales in global markets. Today we will be taking a look at a very balanced laptop from HP, combining modern technology, good specs and relatively affordable price tag. The HP ProBook 450 G5 2RS03EA is a 15.6 inch laptop, powered by Intel Core i5 processor and 8GB of RAM (offered with 16GB as well).
