Samsung Galaxy J7 (2018) promises to be a successful continuation of the popular J-series that made huge impact on the smartphone market in the last couple of years. The next generation 2018 J7 will be offered in two dual and single sim versions – SM-J720F and SM-J720F/DS. One of the major differences consumers will find in the new model will be the larger 5.7 inch Super AMOLED display (compared to the 5.5 inch in the current J7 2017).
Samsung Galaxy J7 (2018) SM-J720F and SM-J720F/DS should be officially released in April
Design and Looks
The fact that there are so many rumors around the release of the J7 (2018) means that this model got really important in the recent years. I am not sure how much it contributes from Samsung’s overall smartphone sales but I would guess the number is high.
The design and build quality of the 2017 J7 were really impressive. The unibody design using metal for the whole device but the display was appreciated by most most consumers. I personally used for almost a year the J5 (2017) which has the same design features as the J7 and it also felt high-quality and premium, people always got it mistaken for much more expensive smartphone.
For the 2018 edition Samsung will keep the same trend with the J7. We will see dedicated operating buttons at the bottom front part under the 5.6 inch Super AMOLED screen.
On the back side of the phone we will see the biggest change for the new model – dual-camera with flash. This feature is a first in a J-series smartphone which will attract more buyers, especially those who care about the quality of their photos.
Due to the big interest in the J-series smartphones there are rumors that Samsung will present with release entirely new model lines in 2018 - J4 and J6 but we still don't have any firm confirmation for that.
That is all we can comment about the looks of the new device. Soon we will update you with more details about the exact dimensions.
The J7 (2018) with code name SM-J720F was already certified by FCC (Federal Communications Commission). This means the Samsung Galaxy J7 (2018) SM-J720F and SM-J720F/DS will hit the stores very soon and we expect too see it for sale in May.
Equipment Authorization Procedures - It is an equipment authorization issued by an FCC-recognized Telecommunication Certification Body (TCB) based on an evaluation of the supporting documentation and test data submitted by the responsible party (e.g., the manufacturer or importer) to the TCB. Today for example, devices such as mobile phones; wireless local area networking equipment, notebook computers, and tablet computers are a combination of radio transmitters requiring approval using the certification procedure and unintentional digital circuity requiring use of the SDoC procedure.
The J7 (2018) would be priced around $350. Price may vary on different markets, since this phone is sold globally.
