Samsung is cheating people, I got my 40 Inches LED from Bankok and within a year it got black bands on the upper left corner of the panel.When contancted Samsung Customer Care in Bangalore, they told be to change the panel which is almost half the cost of TV.
Really pathetic brand.

If the TV is still under warranty they shouldn't charge you anything. I think you should contact Samsung and let them know about your problem.
Other than that I think Samsung make some very good LED TVs.

I also bought a Samsung LED 40" from Bangkok; same prob, black bands in the upper left part of the screen that vanish after some time;
1. At the time of installation Samsung told me that my int warranty is not valid in India as to claim warranty the manufacturer must be Samsung Electronics INdia Ltd and not Samsung Electronics Thailand Ltd;2. Recently read in a newspaper that all TV manufacturers are not honouring int warranty claims for purchases from Thailand and Singapore and u get the stuff at low prices and this hurts their India market sales.
SUCKS!!

Hi,
I have a Samsung 40inches bought in November 2011. The same problem (black band in the top portion, vanishes after 4 mins). When called, the engineer told me that panel has to be changed (which is 1/2 the cost!). It is not even 24months. It is like a cancer, we don't know when it will die. Samsung sucks for sure!

The E16 Gen 3 I’m reviewing here is equipped with the Intel Core Ultra 5 processor, shared Intel graphics, and 32GB of RAM.
