iPad is by far the most popular tablet on the planet. When it first came out it defined what the future of mobile computing will be, it defined new category.
But as good as it was, the first generation iPad wasn't perfect. That's why the iPad 2 came so soon to show that Apple does not hide iPad downsides, they just upgrade it and make it better and probably we will see the next generation of iPad with even greater capabilities.
