BMW X5 review

BMW X5 E70

BMW X5 is often rated as one of the best SUVs on the market. Since it first came out back in 1999 BMW X5 is top choice for 4x4 lovers. This SUV impresses with great handling on and off road and offers excellent comfort for any taste. The X5 has a sporty character but it is very functional as well. X5 offers plenty of space for driver and passengers and has a big boot as well. Most X5s are manufactured in South Carolina at the Spartanburg BMW plant and some in Toluca, Mexico.
BMW X5 offers wide range of engine choices - gassoline and diesels. A hybrid model is expected very soon. The sportiest of all X5s is the M version which has a 4.4 liter Twin Turbo engine producing 555 h.p.
The latest X5s are offer either with 6-speed or with 8-speed automatic transmissions
A new version of the X5 is expected to replece the amazing E70 model. Currently the main competitors for BMW X5 are Mercedes ML, Audi Q7 and Porsche Cayenne.
