Blaupunkt Sydney 220 BT car audio - our consumer test
Blaupunkt Sydney 220 BT - today at our Test and Review blog we will take a closer look at one of the latest budget car audio systems from Blaupunkt.

The Sydney 220 BT (Sydney-220 BT) offers great variety of connection options including a Bluetooth connection with your phone and other mobile device which allows you to listen to your favorite music without any additional hardware or media drives.

You can also connect your phone and take calls and dial numbers directly from the Blaupunkt Sydney 220 BT control panel which is fixed and cannot be moved.

The display is pretty small and doesn't provide a lot of information but it is bright enough and offers some customization.

We have been using this car audio system for couple of weeks now and I have to say that the lack of CD player is really unnoticeable as there are plenty of other modern ways to listen music - USB (FAT 32, FAT 16), SDHC/SD/MMC and AUX-in are all available at the front panel of the system.

Blaupunkt Sydney 220 BT provides very nice and clear sound. We noticed some slight distortion when listening low quality MP3 files via Bluetooth connection but that is quite normal I guess.
The controls and the display are on the small side but that has its advantages as well - it doesn't distract you way too much from the car's main controls.

Price

Blaupunkt Sydney 220 BT car audio is offered at a very competitive price. In UK it can be found for around £90-100 and in other European countries it is just a bit cheaper - around 80 Euros. We bought our unit on sale for just under 70 Euros which happens to be a great deal for such capable car audio system.

Verdict

Blaupunkt Sydney 220 BT is a great car audio for the money - it produces nice clear sound and impresses with its Bluetooth functionality. It is also quite cheap and that is why we strongly recommend it.

You can also check the multi-functional BC-06 car MP3 FM transmitter.

I still believe this is one of the best car audio players for under $100. I had it in my Vectra for more than a year and now that I've upgraded to a newer vehicle which only has CD and FM I really miss having the AUX and Bluetooth for such a cheap price.

I would be very happy to hear from any Blaupunkt Sydney 220 BT owners and see if they got the same good impressions as I did.

For manual instructions and how to set it up, please let me know what you think in the comments section below, I will be more than happy to assist you.
