We were surprised to see that this unit is manufactured in Turkey, to be honest we didn't know that Toshiba are producing TVs in this Asian country.

Design and looks

We definitely like the esthetics of the TV. Toshiba 65UL2163DBC has thin frame which makes it feel relatively compact for a 65-inch television. It is entirely made of black plastic, a good decision for a simple and yet elegant design. The plastic stand looks quite basic, something expected for a TV in this price range.

Toshiba Smart TV

We don't know much about Toshiba's Smart TV system, besides the fact that it is a Linux based system but here are some interesting tips from the pros:

Toshiba 65UL2163DBC - price info

For a 65-inch we can say that a price tag of £370 is cheap, especially if you have all the extras like 4k, Smart TV, HDR and more.

To be able to answer if the Toshiba 65UL2163DBC is the best TV in segment right now we should definitely look at the competition. Here are some of the competitors that could take the crown away:
  • TCL 65C715K - 4k TV with nice design but a bit more expensive compared to the 65UL2163DBC.
  • Toshiba 65UL2063DB - yet another Toshiba TV, very similar in looks, price and specs.
  • Samsung UE65TU7020KXXU - again, more expensive but definitely a solid competitor from a premium brand.
  • LG 65NANO866NA - well, this TV is not a direct competitor but we just wanted to show you why you can pay more than double of the price in order to get the premium design, looks and features of a modern LG NanoCell TV.
