Lenovo Yoga Tab Plus Review: The Ultrabook Alternative for 2026?

Lenovo Yoga Tab Plus Review: 3K Display, 16GB RAM & Android 16

By: Test and Review, Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4.5/5)

Overview

The central question for any premium tablet in 2026 is: Can it actually replace an Ultrabook? After spending several days with the Lenovo Yoga Tab Plus, I’ve found that while it won't replace a high-end desktop, it is perhaps the most sensible travel companion and "on-the-go" workstation currently available.

Design & Portability

The standout feature is the form factor. Weighing only 670–700g with the keyboard and "prop pen" attached, it is roughly one-third the weight of a traditional 16-inch laptop. It is incredibly compact, making it easy to slide into a backpack for travel without sacrificing the premium feel of the hardware.

Display & Multimedia

For media consumers, this tablet is a powerhouse. It features a massive 12.7-inch 3K display. Although it is a glossy screen with some noticeable glare, the brightness and resolution make for a top-tier viewing experience.

The audio is equally impressive, featuring a Harman Kardon-tuned system with six speakers (four woofers and two speakers). While you shouldn’t expect deep bass, the clarity is excellent for movies and YouTube on the go.

Performance & Productivity

Equipped with a Snapdragon processor, 16GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage, the Yoga Tab Plus handles multitasking with ease.

  • The Keyboard: The magnetic keyboard combo includes a clicky trackpad and decent key travel, making it suitable for copywriting and emails.

  • The Pen: The included "prop pen" is highly responsive, offering great feedback for drawing or taking notes.

  • Gaming: Thanks to its high specs, it doubles as a portable gaming station when paired with an external gamepad.

Software & Longevity

One of the most surprising aspects is the software support. Despite launching with Android 14, it has already received the Android 16 update, ensuring that you stay up to date with the latest functionalities and security features.

Pros & Cons

✅ Pros:

  • Incredible 3K display and 6-speaker Harman Kardon audio.

  • Highly portable (under 700g with accessories).

  • Powerful hardware (16GB RAM) capable of gaming and office tasks.

  • Strong software update track record.

❌ Cons:

  • Glossy screen can be reflective in bright environments.

  • Android OS still lacks some specialized desktop-class applications compared to Windows/Mac.

The Verdict

The Lenovo Yoga Tab Plus makes perfect sense for users who need a powerful travel mate. It checks all the boxes for multimedia, light office work, and mobile gaming. If you are looking to lighten your backpack without sacrificing performance, this tablet is a winner.
