HP ENVY 14-1260se laptop review - features and specs of the 14.5-inch HP ENVY 14-1260se laptop / HP ENVY 14 Beats Edition

HP ENVY 14-1260se laptop review - features and specs. HP ENVY 14-1260se is a thin and powerful laptop from the HP ENVY 14 Beats Edition.
HP Envy 14 Beats Edition
HP ENVY 14-1260se is just 1.1" thin and weighs around 5.70 pounds.

It has a fast 2.66GHz Intel Core i5-480M processor with Turbo boost technology (increases the performance up to 2.93 GHz). HP ENVY 14-1260se comes with 6GB DDR3 RAM which can be increased to 8GB (2 DIMM available). The hard drive of the HP ENVY 14-1260se is 750GB (5400RPM SATA) which is quite a lot for such a small device. This hard drive has the HP ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection (HP 3D DriveGuard) which locks the hard drive when it senses abrupt motion in order to prevent data loss.
HP ENVY 14-1260se has a nice 14.5-inch BrightView LED display with 1366 x 768 resolution. It is one of the good displays out there but I wish it was matte rather than glossy screen as this is a portable laptop which can often be exposed to direct sunlight.
The nice quality picture of this display is provided by the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 switchable graphics with 1024MB DDR3 with up to 3738MB total graphics memory. This video card is good enough for Full HD playback and most new games will run just fine as well.
Connectivity options of the HP ENVY 14-1260se laptop include wireless LAN 802.11b/g/n WLAN and Bluetooth.
These connections are also available:
1x HDMI
1x RJ -45 (LAN)
3x USB 2.0
mini-display port
3.5mm headphone jack

The optical drive in the HP ENVY 14-1260se is a LightScribe SuperMulti 8X DVD±R/RW with Double Layer Support.
Other multimedia features include HP TrueVision HD Webcam with integrated microphone. The HP ENVY 14 Beats Edition also comes with Beats Audio including Beats Audio software (Beats Audio Console).

HP Envy 14 Beats Edition unboxing - video

The price of the HP ENVY 14-1260se is very reasonable. Considering all the good stuff this laptop has its price of just $650 is very good and it can definitely be considered a good laptop deal.
