Sony KD-55S8005C, what an amazing TV that is!

That is definitely one of hottest big screen TV deals these days. Sony KD-55S8005C just has it all - it is the right size, has all the modern features and most important of all offers an amazing picture quality. Probably the only feature missing is the Triluminos display which is usually reserved for the most expensive Sony TVs (KD-55S8005C may be considered expensive but for the features it has I would say it is a real bargain, similarly speced Samsung panel costs some 15% more).

Sony X800D 4K HDR LED Android TV

Top features

  • 55 inch - great for home cinema, gaming etc.
  • Curved panel - for the most realistic experience
  • Build quality - as usual top notch build quality offered by Sony
  • 4K UHD resolution
  • 3D
  • Android Smart TV with built-in WiFi
  • 4K PROCESSOR X1 - brings stunning picture quality

Price

In UK this TV is offered for less than £1400 (on sale for £1200) while in other EU countries it can be found for around 1500 Euros which is a great deal, considering all of the good stuff the KD-55S8005C has to offer.

The alternatives

  • Samsung UE55JU7500 - almost the same specs as the KD-55S8005C but uses TIZEN OS instead of Android which for some may be a huge downside. Other than that the UE55JU7500 is an amazing TV that costs about the same as the KD-55S8005C.

  • Samsung UE55JS8500 - it has some improved specs over the UE55JU7500 like the better refresh rated of PQI 1900. Price is couple of hundred bucks more.

  •  Sony KD-55X8505C - this 55 inch Ultra HD TV is not a curved display but it offers Sony's patented technology Triluminos display which gives a cutting edge picture quality and also costs a bit cheaper than the curved Sony KD-55S8005C.
