The entry level Razer Basilisk X HyperSpeed is still a good choice for a quality budget wireless mouse

I have already reviewed the Razer Basilisk X HyperSpeed wireless mouse in our product blog but since I keep using it I believe it is a good idea to share if thus mouse is a good purchase in 2022. 

There are couple key aspects that I want to take into consideration today and share them with you - build quality, ergonomics/functionality and value for money.

Even though it is an entry-level Razer mouse the Basilisk X HyperSpeed is made of quality plastics which looks and feels quite durable. Actually, I would put this characteristics of the mouse as one of its main advantages over some competitors like the Trust GXT 161 Disan gaming mouse which started to peel off its cover after couple of months of use.

After over an year of use and couple of harsh falls my Basilisk X HyperSpeed looks and works like new, so definitely positive impressions in that regards.

Razer Basilisk X HyperSpeed - ergonomics and functionality

The Basilisk X HyperSpeed is a comfortable and easy to use wireless mouse. Its dual connectivity mode (2.5 GHz and Bluetooth) makes it quite versatile as well.

This mouse also feels good to the touch as the plastic that is used is not as hard and there is also some soft padding on the sides for better grip and comfort. 

I am not a gamer and I mostly use the mouse for work in my laptop but I believe the Basilisk X HyperSpeed would do just fine as a gaming mouse as well.

Razer Basilisk X HyperSpeed - value for money

Currently the official MSRP of the Basilisk X HyperSpeed is €70 but I have seen it much cheaper than that. You can easily find it only for around $40 which is a good price for what this mouse has to offer. Well, probably entry-level is not the correct statement when discussing mouse with sticker price of over €50 but as you know prices of high-end competitors are way higher. 

So, in the value for money category I would score the Basilisk X HyperSpeed very high since it is well made and it serves its purpose quite well.  

Definitely a good purchase in 2022!

I have two of these. One of them has issues keeping a stable 2.4 connection (stopping 2.4 wifi on the laptop made that a little better, but still not 100%). The other one's scroll just stopped working. All in all not good purchases, I dare say.
