2012 Audi A4 test drive and review. Today we are going to take a look at one of the most popular compact sedans in the world. The latest generation Audi A4 has aggressive styling with elegant exterior lines and one of the best interiors in class.

The new Audi A4 is offered with a wide variety of petrol and diesel engines. Of course the diesel choices will reach higher sales in Europe where Audi (VW Group) is popular with some of the best diesel engines. These engines can be coupled with either six speed manual transmission or with the automatic dual-clutch DSG gearbox. Of course the new A4 can be ordered with the all-wheel drive Quattro system which is good in harsh conditions but will slightly decrease fuel economy.

The interior of the 2012 Audi A4 is nice and roomy. All instruments are logical and easy to use. Audi's infotainment system MMI is updated for 2012 and now is more functional and easier to use.
The biggest competitor for the A4 will be the all new BMW 3-series F30 which is claimed to be the leader in the small business sedans segment. Mercedes C-class and Lexus IS are also competing for a place in this class but they are expecting a complete upgrade of their model range.
The facelifted 2013 Audi A4 is already in most Audi dealerships and will completely replace the current model by the end of the year.
