Sony KDL-32EX650 review - this affordable 32-inch Full HD 1080p LED TV offers high quality picture and plenty of useful features. The 32EX650 is perfect for those not looking for 3D TV but don't want to compromise picture quality and functionality and we have to admit that this TV really delivers.

Sony KDL-32EX650 uses Edge LED backlight technology which is much more efficient compared to standard LCD panels. The TV supports full HD resolution of 1920 by 1080 and has dynamic contrast ratio of over 1 million.

The relatively low refresh rate of 50Hz is not a problem because the 32EX650 uses Motionflow XR 100Hz motion enhancer which speeds up dynamic content and you get perfect vivid images with no ghosting effect.

Probably the most impressive thing about the Sony Bavia KDL-32EX650 are its connectivity options. This TV has all the ports and connections available in a modern TV including USB media player, built-in WiFi connection, DLNA, plenty of HDMI ports and many others. Connecting to your home WiFi network is easy with the WiFi Direct and streaming video is easily supported with the help of BRAVIA Internet Video application.

As a fully functioning smart TV you can enjoy all the Internet apps like browser (Opera), YouTube, Skype, Sony Entertainment Network and many others available for Bravia smart TVs.

But all these good features and specifications would be worthless for a TV if the picture quality is not good enough. That is definitely not the case with the Sony KDL-32EX650 TV. It offers great high definition picture and is just perfect for watching movies.

Downsides
One negative point that we manged to find in the KDL-32EX650 is the USB player which may cause you some difficulties with some file formats, especially if you try to watch a movie with subtitles. But that is not a big drawback as there are plenty of software solutions for cases like this one.

Other than that Sony KDL-32EX650 does a great job when media playback is streamed directly from one of the two USB ports. The TV also supports USB recording which is also a feature that you wouldn't find in every TV in this class.

After the full review the overall impression of this Sony TV is very good and at the price of around 500 Euros it looks like a great deal , that's why we strongly recommend this exceptional Full HD LED TV.

You can also check the Sony Bravia KDL-32EX523BU LCD TV reviewIn case you need something cheaper we would recommend you the LG 32LS5600 review which is a Full HD LED TV with less features and with low price tag.

2020 Update: The Sony KDL-32EX650 we bought more than 7 years ago is still working perfectly fine. The only downside is that the YouTube app is no longer supported due to the fact that they have more demanding hardware requirements - the application wouldn't run smoothly on the KDL-32EX650. Other than that we are supper happy with this TV, real quality product.
