My Wilson Pro Staff Six-One 100 Lite BLX

Wilson Pro Staff Six-One 100 Lite BLX has been on the market for quite some time and it proved to be another very good racket from the Pro Staff series.

This racket has the largest head size compared to the Wilson Pro Staff 90 and Wilson Pro Staff 95 which makes it the most forgiving and amateur friendly racket in this range. I myself don't have much experience with Wilson tennis rackets before but decided to switch to this brand after almost 10 years of great experience with different HEAD and Babolat rackets.
From what I see on professional tennis courts these days Wilson is not the most popular brand but still some of the best players in the world are relying on it - Roger Federer and Grigor Dimitrov are just some of the stars in the men's tour that are using Wilson rackets (Wilson Pro Staff 90 for Federer and Wilson Pro Staff 95 for Dimitrov).

When I making my research for my next racket I was looking for a light and maneuverable racket with good control and plenty of spin. Power was not the most important criteria and the Pro Staff Six-One 100 Lite BLX is definitely not among the most power generating rackets out there.

So, I received the racket and decided to test it in the nearby tennis center. Before I proceed with my impressions with the racket I should tell you that I only used it with the stock strings and grip. To make things clear for you I decided to make a small list of the things I liked and the things that didn't find so good in the Pro Staff Six-One 100 Lite BLX.
The good stuff:
  • Lightweight and extremely maneuverable
  • Good control
  • Good feel of the ball
  • Comfortable when playing on the limit
  • Great control on backhands
  • It's not a brand new mode so it can be found with huge discount

Things that need improvement:
  • AmpliFeel didn't sort all vibrations so additional anti-vibrator is a must
  • Expected more spin (though that can improve after changing the stock strings)
  • Doesn't feel solid and durable like all of my HEAD rackets

So, as you see the Wilson Pro Staff Six-One 100 Lite BLX is not perfect and there is definitely some things that can be improved. It still feels like a professional racket though you are not going to see any players in the tour use it. The Pro Staff Six-One 100 Lite BLX is a very good club player's racket - it is light and forgiving and the head-size is just right for that type of player.

Grigor Dimitrov and Nicole Scherzinger broke up
