Lava 7 Android 2.2 tablet review

Lava 7" Android 2.2 tablet review

Lava 7 Android tablet

Price, features and specifications of the Lava 7-inch tablet

Lava 7 Android 2.2 tablet - today at For consumers blog we are going to take a closer look at another of the cheap tablets that looks amazingly like the Apple iPad. But most similarities with the most popular tablet in the world end here. The Lava 7 tablet has an 800MHz processor (WM8650) and a 7-inch resistive touchscreen with 800 x 480 resolution. The screen is nothing special but you shouldn't expect anything else in this price segment.
Lava 7 runs on the Android 2.2 operating system so plenty of apps are available for this tablet at the Android Market.

The Lava 7-inch tablet has one big disadvantage, the tablet has a shortage of system memory - only 256MB of RAM which isn't enough for a modern tablet computer. It also has 4GB of storage space and the ability to operate with memory cards (microSD) of up to 32GB.
The connectivity options include WiFi connection, USB port and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The tablet also comes with built-in speaker and a 0.3 front facing camera (and a mic).
The Lava 7 tablet comes with in four language options - English, German, French and Spanish.
The manufacturer claims the Lava 7 tablet will hold charge for more than 5 hours (up to 10 hours) but we can't confirm that.

As for the price the Lava 7" Android 2.2 tablet is real winner. The tablet is very cheap offered at the price of around a £100 in UK. It's a competitive price but these days you can find many other Asian tablets with similar specs for even less.
