In today's review we are taking a closer look at the Samsung UE32F5500 which is one of the latest 32-inch Full HD LED TVs by the world's largest TV manufacturer. It is one of the most affordable panels from Samsung's 5500 series. We can say the UN32F5500 is the cheaper version of the Samsung UE32F6400 which is pretty much the same TV but with 3D included.

The UE32F5500 is part of Samsung's One Design series which emphasis on thin panels with small frames and elegant stand. The overall impression from the build quality is pretty good as well but remember this is an entry level Samsung TV so you can find better quality out there (for more money of course).
Samsung UN32F5500 is a Full HD 1080p TV with maximum display resolution of  1920 x 1080.
For improving the picture quality Samsung is using some key technologies like the popular HyperReal Engine, Mega Contrast, Wide Color Enhancer (Plus) and CMR 100 (Clear Motion Rate).

Connectivity and Smart TV

Samsung UE32F5500 also offers a wide variety of Smart TV functions and with the help of the built-in WiFi connection you can easily connect to the Internet and use some of the apps from the Smart Hub or watch some shows through On TV which is available in 17 EU countries.
The sound produced by the two 10W speakers of the UE32F5500 is good but I myself would definitely use external sound / speakers with this TV. Dolby Digital Plus / Dolby Pulse, DTS Studio Sound and DTS Premium Audio 5.1 are supported by the Samsung UE32F5500.
Samsung UE32F5500 is equipped with plenty of connection options like Component In (Y / Pb / Pr), Composite In (AV), Digital Audio out (Optical), Ethernet (LAN), 3x HDMI RF In, 2x USB, Headphone jack, Scart, CI Slot and IR out.

Of course the UE32F5500 has both Analogue and Digital (Freeview) tuners.

Price

Finally it is time to talk about the price of the Samsung UE32F5500 which I think is a competitive one - around £340. Within this price range you can also buy LG 32LN575S or Sony Bravia KDL-32R420A which have similar specs and performance. Probably the Sony offers the best picture quality from those three   and the LG is the best overall package but in case you like Samsung than the UE32F5500 would be the perfect choice for you.
