AIWA RS-55 review: A retro pocket radio with a modern punch

AIWA RS-55 Review: Retro Style Meets Modern Sensitivity In an era dominated by digital streaming and smart speakers, there is a unique satisfaction in the tactile click of an analog dial. For my latest test, I went back to basics with the AIWA RS-55 AM/FM receiver . AIWA is a legendary Japanese brand, and with the RS-55, they’ve managed to capture a vintage aesthetic without sacrificing the build quality we expect today.

What TV to buy - consumer advice

Which are the best TVs on the market? What is our opinion and recommendations when buying a TV?

which tv 2020
Our guide to buying new TV

We hope that in the light of the follow-up analysis and comments, we will make it easier to choose and buy a TV to be really pleased with.
Today, we will look at the most important parameters and specifications for us and recommend a few example models.

Which TV to buy?
Here, the options come down to several important factors, namely:
  • Screen Size?
  • Panel type - LED, OLED, QLED, Curved (curved display), etc.
  • Available technologies - 3D, 4k, Smart TV, Android TV
  • Brand / Budget - Sony, LG, Samsung, Philips… Neo, Nei, Blaupunkt, Grundig, Sharp
  • Screen size - and in 2020, one of the main parameters when buying a new TV is choosing the right size.

This table gives you our guidelines for choosing a TV size for the room in which you will use it:

Choosing the correct TV size - guide
RoomSize of the TV screen (in inches)
Small room – kitchen, small bedroom, kids room
Middle-sized rooms – living room or big kitchen
Large rooms - large living rooms or home cinema
Recommended size: 19 / 22/ 24/ 27 / 29 inch
Recommended size: 32 / 39 / 40 / 42 inch
Recommended size: 49 / 50 / 55 / 60 inch

Panel type - here we will be brief in explanation and mostly concise. Choosing the type of panel is likely to be determined by your budget and how much you are willing to set aside for new TV in 2020. However, if money is not a factor, we would recommend a perfect picture of Sony and LG OLED displays as well as Samsung QLED displays.

Available Technologies - Everything here is all about preferences and a matter of choice. In our opinion, technologies such as 3D or curved displays are becoming increasingly obsolete. High quality 4k (and higher 6k and 8k resolution) and improved usability of smart features will be at the forefront of the consumer experience. Massively, Netflix and YouTube applications are already taking over the airwaves on our TVs, so we expect improved support in this regard as well.

Budget - In this category, we would divide brands and their corresponding price into several groups, giving a relative guideline on how much it is worth to spend:

Price / budget - in this category we would put screens up to $350 and 40-inch size.

Again this year leaders in our budget market will be brands like NEO, NEI, SANG, Grundig, Blaupunkt, Toshiba
Mid-range - Panasonic, Sharp, Philips
High-end - no surprises and in 2020, again with the high-end, we would recommend first the Sony models, followed directly by Samsung and LG

What are the best TVs on the market?
Perhaps the answer to this question lies in the last budget category described above. In particular, the 4k OLED and QLED TVs offered by Sony, EL, and Samsung remain market leaders. Of course, this does not mean that if you have a budget of $ 1000, for example, we would not recommend a high-end Philips TV, our simple estimate is common to the entire model range.

What is our opinion and recommendations when buying a TV in 2020?
We recently had the opportunity to test a 40-inch 4k Android TV on one of the cheapest brands available in our country - at a price of $ 350.

Our impressions subsequently made us think - is it worth saving BGN 100-200 for something that we would use for more than 5 years every day. The TV in question had a peeled-off panel of controls on the screen itself even before its first use… one can only imagine what quality control is being done before it is put on sale.

Conclusion… take your time and research the models you stopped in and make an informed decision about the TV you want to buy. An outsider or consultant may be better able to tell you what size TV you need, how much money to spend, etc.

Sony Bravia KDL-42W650 is still not very popular around the world and the reason for that is not the lack of quality or functions which this TV is fully packed with but because of the fact that the  KDL-42W650/ KDL-42W650A is mostly going to be sold in Eastern Europe and some parts of Asia. Lenovo ThinkPad E16 Gen 3: Flaw Fixed, Efficiency Gained Hey everyone, and welcome back! I was excited to finally get my hands on the third generation of the Lenovo ThinkPad E16 . As many of you know, I spent a good amount of time with the Gen 2, and while it was a solid business machine, there were definitely a few things that needed attention.
