Things we liked about the Dell Latitude 5420

There is much to like about the Latitude 5420. It is a compact laptop but also very capable. One of the main features that we value in a product like this laptop is the quality build. This computer is meant to be carried around through offices, airports, cars and parks and it need to handle a lot of stress, vibrations, different temperatures, duty environment and more. On the other hand this laptop is also quite versatile, it is small but also quite fast. With a powerful Intel i5 processor our Latitude 5420 managed to multitask pretty well. Having opened multiple heavy applications, browsers and media files and the laptop felt stable and managed loads without any hustle.

keyboard and mousepad

Typical for most Dell laptops, the keyboard and mousepad are almost perfect. They are comfortable and feel sturdy.

Most of the time we had the Dell Latitude 5420 connected to an external monitor, which was no issue for the video capabilities of the laptop.

The 14-inch screen is a bit small for a full day in the office, so we strongly recommend using a bigger display when possible.

The sound coming from the built-in speakers is good, especially for such a small laptop. Of course we wouldn't recommend this computer for multimedia but for business users mostly.

Things we didn't like so much in the Dell Latitude 5420
