A closer look at the affordable 55-inch 4k LED TV Digihome 55552UHDHDRS

Digihome 55552UHDHDRS TV tested

We haven't reviewed any TVs in the last couple of weeks so we decided it is high time to go back to our roots and post something about an affordable TV set.

Today, we are taking a closer look at the 55-inch Digihome 55552UHDHDRS which is basically a cheap big-screen LED TV with Smart TV functions and good 4k picture. We will share its most important feature and specs, as well as its current price.

Digihome 55552UHDHDRS - main features and specifications

Display

  • Screen Size: 55 inches
  • Resolution: 4K UHD (3840 x 2160 pixels)
  • HDR Support: High Dynamic Range for improved contrast and color.

Connectivity

  • HDMI Ports: Typically, multiple HDMI ports for connecting external devices like gaming consoles, Blu-ray players, and more.
  • USB Ports: For connecting USB drives and other peripherals.
  • Wi-Fi: Built-in Wi-Fi for smart TV features and streaming content.

Smart TV

  • Smart TV Platform: It may have a built-in operating system or use a third-party smart TV platform like Android TV, webOS, or others.

Audio

  • Built-in speakers and audio enhancements for sound quality.
  • Audio Output: Options for connecting external audio equipment, like soundbars or AV receivers.

  • Yes, standard remote
As you can see from the list above, it is all pretty standard for a TV offered in 2023. We have previously reviewed plenty of Digihome televisions and we have always stressed not only on the quality (which is not premium) but also on the price, which usually was much lower than many of the competitors.

Digihome 50552UHDHDRS - cheap 50-inch TV to buy in UK

Digihome 55552UHDHDRS - product price

Today we saw an offer at eBay UK for the Digihome 55552UHDHDRS at GBP700 which is way too expensive for a TV in this segment. In Amazon UK the TV was out of stock which is kind of expected, since it has been on the market for quite some time now.

Digihome 55552UHDHDRS - our opinion

To be honest, we would only consider this TV only if it is offered at a very low price. When we go shopping for a big-screen TV which is usually used for home cinema and entertainment, we would rather invest a bit more for a premium brand.

We also don't like the design of the Digihome 55552UHDHDRS, which has thick frames made of plastic which looks quite cheap (again, that is expected).

Still, if you find this TV on extremely good offer you may want to give it a try and share your feedback with us.
