Finlux 40F8030-T Smart LED TV specs and review

Price, features and specifications of the Finlux 40F8030-T Full HD Smart LED TV
Finlux 40F8030-T review
Finlux 40F8030-T Smart LED TV
Finlux 40F8030-T review - if you are in the search of a big screen Smart TV with Full HD resolution than you should definitely check the Finlux 40F8030-T.
This Finlux TV has a nice ultra-slim design but unfortunately the frame of the TV is way too big which makes it  look even bigger than it really is.

The Smart TV features are provided by the help of additional USB WiFi dongle (usually included) which allows you to connect the 40F8030-T  to the Internet. The Finlux Smart Portal takes it from there offering wide variety of apps including Twitter, Facebook, BBC iPlayer, YouTube and others.
Finlux 40F8030-T also has 3x HDMI ports, USB with media playback and PVR as well as plenty of other useful ports and interfaces.

Finlux 40F8030-T is a Full HD 1080p TV which offers good picture quality but its biggest advantage is its price. It is currently offered at eBay for £300 (WiFi dongle included). So if you want a big Smart TV but also want to stay on the budget than the Finlux 40F8030-T Smart LED TV might be the perfect solution for you.

Here are some beauty images of the Citroen Tubik van at the 2012 Paris Motor Show which took part this autumn.  Citroen Tubik is a very interesting concept which we first saw at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show and the fact that French manufacturer showcases this car for second year in a row may speak for a production vehicle in the very near future. We expect PSA to give their final decision about this project very soon.
Here are some high quality images of the Citroen Tubik from the Paris Motor Show:

Can tablets replace laptops?

Tablet practicality vs laptop functionality
can tablets replace laptops
Can tablets really replace laptops? We made a short survey to check with everyone's opinion on this question and it seems the laptops are here to stay or at least our readers thinks so.
As the poll shows more than 40% agree with what is our own opinion on this question - laptops won't be replaced by tablets at this point. More than 35% of the voters consider tablets to be the next leader in portable computing in the very near future. And some 24% are confident tablets can replace laptops or they have already done it.

As you can see one thing is clear, in future people will rely on tablets much more than they do today. Some of you how skeptic were some people when the first smartphones came out but know they have the biggest market share in mobile communications well ahead of any other competitor.
And what about laptops then? They will also take a big part of portable computing technologies. Laptops are getting better and better every day. Now they are much faster, lighter and more reliable than ever before. This trend of improving the quality of the product always speaks for good future results.
What is the future of mobile computing and technologies?  The IT sector is the one with highest revenue around the globe, thus will provide a secure flow of funds into research and development teams in the big IT companies. New technologies are presented literally every day so we can predict a steady improvement of everything we have today as a source of consumer computing devices.
Our guess is that cloud computing will receive the biggest attention and we will see a vast wider spread of technologies using cloud services. This on the other hand will have a strong influence on hardware industry connected with mobile technologies.

Our advice to consumers is not to rush into buying the latest technology products without feeling the strong need of using them. It is too often that people buy stuff just to follow the latest trends and that is definitely not a smart way of investing money.

Samsung WB750 digital camera specs and video review

Features, specifications and video review of the compact ultrazoom digital camera Samsung WB750
Samsung WB750 specs review
Samsung WB750 digital camera
Samsung WB750 review - Samsung WB750 is a very capable and also very affordable compact digital camera. It has 12.5-megapixel sensor and massive 18x optical zoom.
But that is not all that impressed us in this camera. It can also record a superb Full HD 1080p (max. resolution of 1920x1080) videos with stereo sound. Samsung WB750 also has 3D function which lets you capture amazing 3D images.
The quality BSI CMOS sensors in the WB750 help you get better results even in low light conditions.
There is also a very nice and bright 3-inch LCD display on the back of the Samsung WB750 which is the only viewfinder in this camera (optical viewfinder is not available). The screen has good contrast and good viewing angles as well.
Samsung WB750 is quite compact and it weighs just 191 gr which is a very good achievement considering the huge zoom and all additional features this camera packs.
And probably the best thing about the Samsung WB750 is its price. You can find it on sale for as low as £120 which is an amazing deal for a camera of this class.
Of course all the specs of the Samsung WB750 may look very similar to those of a Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-HX10V but this is a camera in a league of its own with much higher price tag.

Samsung WB720 14MP compact digital camera price and review

Specs and quick review of the 14MP compact digital camera Samsung WB720
Samsung WB720 compact digital camera
Samsung WB720 compact digital camera review

Samsung WB720 review - I have noticed that since Christmas shopping began few weeks ago this compact digital shooter has been offered with some great discounts. Currently you can find the Samsung WB720 for even less than £100. So lets see if it is any good or just another useless electronic device that looks like a good deal at first but after a while the disappointment comes.

Samsung WB720 has a 14-megapixel sensor and 24mm Schneider Kreuznach wide angle lens which allow you to capture more details with less photos.
One of the great advantages of the Samsung WB720 compact digital camera is that it has 14x optical zoom which puts it directly in the compact megazoom cameras class which Sony and Canon still dominate well ahead of the competition. In addition to the large optical zoom the WB720 has 4x digital zoom.
Samsung WB720 also has a large 3-inch LCD display which is the only viewfinder in this camera (no optical viewfinder).

Another positive thing about this camera is its build quality. The camera itself is made from metal and some durable plastics and the overall impression is for a very solid and well build product.
Samsung WB720 can record 720p HD videos which come out pretty good. There is some space for improvement for this feature as most new digital cameras offer 1080p Full HD video recording but of course these have the disadvantage of much higher price tag. Samsung WB720 is a very compact camera and weighs just 120g (with the Li-Ion battery). Here are the dimensions of the device: H:5.89, W:10.49, D:2.49 cm.

Connection options: HDMI/USB
Price: currently on sale for £90.

2013 Volvo V40 Cross Country test drive and review

Test drive and video review of the all new 2013 Volvo V40 Cross Country estate car

2013 Volvo V40 Cross Country
2013 Volvo V40 Cross Country review

Volvo V40 Cross Country review - Volvo presented few new models at the 2012 Paris Motor Show and I have to say I was quite impressed with the new Volvo V40 Cross Country.
There are some obvious changes that make this capable light off-road vehicle stand out from the base V40 estate. I myself particularly liked the macho exterior styling and the compact size of the car.

The  2013 Volvo V40 Cross Country has bigger ground clearance and is offered with in front and 4x4 version as well. This combination make it better car for slippery surfaces and winter conditions but heavy off-roading is not going to work with the Volvo V40 Cross Country.
The 2013 Volvo V40 Cross Country is offered with the choice of three petrol and three diesel engines with 254hp for the most powerful 5-cylinder T5 engine. This engine is coupled to the robotised 6-speed Powershift gearbox. A 6-speed manual is offered for the less powerful engines.
Here is a short video  review of the 2013 Volvo V40 Cross Country:

Finlux 32F8030-T 32-inch Smart TV specs and review
Finlux 32F8030-T 32-inch Smart TV specs and review
Finlux 32F8030-T review - probably most of you had already began the Christmas shopping and what better choice for a Christmas present than a new TV. The market is literally flooded with offers for new LED, 3D, HD, Full HD, Smart TV etc. TVs and it would be quite hard for most consumers to pick the right one. There are two key factors when buying electronic equipment like this - specs and price.
If you have already decided that you don't want to spend a lot on new TV and made your budget on the low side than you should start looking for the best specs for your money. When talking about new LED TVs I myself usually recommend brands like LG, Samsung and Sony because they've proved reliable and offer good quality for the buck. But there is one big problem with their cheaper models - they are quite short on features. And this is the time when cheap brands like Finlux start to make sense.

If we take the Finlux 32F8030-T Smart TV for example, you will need at least £60-80 more for a similar spec LG or Samsung TV.
There are few main features that make the Finlux 32F8030-T a very good deal. First of all it is a Full HD 1080p panel  with LED back lighting. The brightness is 450 cd /m2 and the refresh rate of 50Hz is also on the low side, but this is quite common in this price segment.
The Finlux 32F8030-T has built-in media player which supports picture, music and video playback. It also supports PVR recording through the USB. The big surprise is that this is a WiFi ready TV with full Smart TV functions. Some of these include Internet and social apps like YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, BBC player and some others.

And to make things complete the Finlux 32F8030-T has Freeview HD digital tuner.
As you can see this TV is almost fully loaded and the price of £230 leaves no chance for the competition.
Of course the picture quality of the Finlux 32F8030-T is also no match to this of a similar Samsung TV but that is what you get if you want to keep a tide budget.

Storage Options Scroll Pocket mini Android tablet specs and review

Storage Options Scroll Pocket 4.3-inch Android tablet features, specifications and review
Storage Options Scroll Pocket mini Android tablet specs and review
Storage Options Scroll Pocket mini Android tablet specs and review
Scroll Pocket tablet review - I am not sure what the purpose of a mini tablet like this one would be but it seems that everything that has the 'Android' tag is instantly becoming popular.
Storage Options offers the 4.3-inch mini tablet with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system and hardware which is far from impressive. The strange thing here is that the manufacturer doesn't even mention the main characteristics of the hardware of this tablet (not even on their website) like processor speed, RAM volume and some other important parameters.
One of the key features of the Scroll Pocket tablet is the 4.3-inch capacitive touch-screen display. Of course there are smartphones which have bigger display than this tablet but that is what you get for under £50.
Probably in this price segment we have to mention that it is a color display which is a big advantage over regular calculators. You may take this as a joke but that is probably the best usage for such devices - color display calculators. Sure the Scroll Pocket tablet has a fast WiFi N connection and the ability to read 32GB microSD cards but in order to use these properly you need a bigger display. The built in storage space is 4GB.
Once upon a time a 7-inch tablet was considered small and now most tablets are above that size, 4.3 is just not good enough.
That is the main reason I think the Storage Options Scroll Pocket tablet will be the perfect Christmas gift for
your kids as the tablet itself would do great with some simple games and social media apps, the presence of one of the good Android OS is a big advantage.
So, this was our short review of the Storage Options Scroll Pocket mini Android tablet, I hope you are not disappointed with the review or the device. In case you are, you can check the rest of our Android tablets.

Sony KDL-32EX650 Full HD LED TV review

Price, features, specifications and video review of the 32-inch Full HD LED TV Sony KDL-32EX650

Sony KDL-32EX650 Full HD LED TV review
Sony KDL-32EX650 Full HD LED TV review

Sony KDL-32EX650 review - this affordable 32-inch Full HD 1080p LED TV offers high quality picture and plenty of useful features. The 32EX650 is perfect for those not looking for 3D TV but don't want to compromise picture quality and functionality and we have to admit that this TV really delivers.

Sony KDL-32EX650 uses Edge LED backlight technology which is much more efficient compared to standard LCD panels. The TV supports full HD resolution of 1920 by 1080 and has dynamic contrast ratio of over 1 million.
The relatively low refresh rate of 50Hz is not a problem because the 32EX650 uses Motionflow XR 100Hz motion enhancer which speeds up dynamic content and you get perfect vivid images with no ghosting effect.

Sony KDL-32EX650
Sony Bravia KDL-32EX650

Probably the most impressive thing about the Sony Bavia KDL-32EX650 are its connectivity options. This TV has all the ports and connections available in a modern TV including USB media player, built-in WiFi connection, DLNA, plenty of HDMI ports and many others. Connecting to your home WiFi network is easy with the WiFi Direct and streaming video is easily supported with the help of BRAVIA Internet Video application. As a fully functioning smart TV you can enjoy all the Internet apps like browser (Opera), YouTube, Skype, Sony Entertainment Network and many others available for Bravia smart TVs.

But all these good features and specifications would be worthless for a TV if the picture quality is not good enough. That is definitely not the case with the Sony KDL-32EX650 TV.    It offers great high definition picture and is just perfect for watching movies.

Negatives
One negative point that we manged to find in the KDL-32EX650 is the USB player which may cause you some difficulties with some file formats, especially if you try to watch a movie with subtitles. But that is not a big drawback as there are plenty of software solutions for cases like this one.

Other than that Sony KDL-32EX650 does a great job when media playback is streamed directly from one of the two USB ports. The TV also supports USB recording which is also a feature that you wouldn't find in every TV in this class.
After the full review the overall impression of this Sony TV is very good and at the price of around 500 Euros it looks like a great deal , that's why we strongly recommend this exceptional Full HD LED TV.

Newsmy NewPad T3 Android tablet review
Newsmy NewPad T3 Android tablet review

Newsmy NewPad T3 review - today at our consumer blog we are going to take a closer look at another cheap Android tablet.  Newsmy NewPad T3 is a 7-inch Android 4.0 tablet with 1.2GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor, 512MB RAM and 8GB of storage space.
The 7-inch 5-point capacitive touch screen has 800x480 resolution. The LCD display has good colors and viewing angles but is far from perfect. The low resolution is outdated but that is what you get for under £100.

Newsmy NewPad T3 has 802.11b/g/n WiFi built-in and also supports external 3G connection. Other connection options include USB, headphone jack. The space for storage is expandable via microSD car with up to 32GB.
One of the good features of the Newsmy NewPad T3 Android tablet is that it supports Flash 11.1.
The tablet also has a 0.3MP front-facing camera which is only good for average quality video calls.
The 3000mAH battery of the NewPad T3 tablet will last for some 3-4 hours of work time before it needs charging.
The device itself is quite compact and not very heavy and weighs just 323g.
The price of this cheap Android tablet varies around £60.
