Yonex EZONE 100L tennis racket - consumer opinion

Yonex EZONE 100L - tennis racket specifications and consumer opinion

Yonex EZONE 100L review

We have tested couple of tennis rackets in 2020 and actually bought couple of them since we liked them a lot. Unfortunately, not all of them suited the game we were expecting so we needed to get rid of them (or at least most of them).

That was the case with the latest generation Head Graphene 360+ Speed S which I used only for couple of months. It is not that is a bad racket but it was attackers' racket with extremely small sweet spot, so we sold it. It is a shame because that was one of the more comfortable frames we used in 2020.

Another racket that we sold from our inventory was the Wilson Ultra 100L Camo which offered large sweet spot and great control. Unfortunately, it wasn't balanced right so some shoulder pain occurred after two seasons playing with this frame.

The only one that we kept is the Head Graphene 360 Instinct S which is a great blend of power, control, big sweet spot and comfort.

Now when the 2020 season is almost over it is time to test new frame that we will use next year. The biggest pretender is the Yonex EZONE 100L - it has quite similar characteristics compared to the Graphene 360 Instinct S and we expect it to be powerful with good comfort and of course big sweet spot, thanks to the Isometric technology.

Yonex EZONE 100L - product specifications

We still haven't received the Yonex EZONE 100L, that is why today we will pay more attention mostly at its specifications and expected performance.

Yonex EZONE 100L specs

Head size100 sq.in.
Stringing pattern16x19
Weight285g / 10.1oz
Length27 in.
Width range23.5mm / 26.0mm / 22.0mm

Grip size0-4

Rec. Tension45-60 lbs.
Rec. StringPOLYTOUR PRO, POLYTOUR STRIKE, REXIS

As you can see the specifications are pretty balanced for mid-level players. Of course the EZONE 100L would be a bit too light for a professional player so we guess this racket is mostly for people who would like professional performance from a more forgiving and comfortable racket.

Yonex EZONE 100L price

This racket is currently offered for 180 Euro or very close to this price at the European market. The average price for Asia and North America should be around $200

As you know some lightweight frames get huge discounts short after their release so we guess there will be a price drop soon.

So, what do you think about the Yonex EZONE 100L racket? Do you think it would be a good fit for someone using (and liking) the Instinct S?
We can't wait to get the Yonex EZONE 100L and test it. Of course we will make a full consumer review shortly after that.
