Asus X55V
Asus X55V laptop review

Today at our Test and Review we are taking a look at the 15.6-inch laptop Asus X55V. And since this particular computer is not very popular this is going to be a quick tour around the X55V laptop, pointing out its main features and specs as well as its pros and cons.
I have tested this machine only for couple of hours but I believe these impressions are quite valuable for consumers interested in this particular Asus laptop.

Key features:
  • Intel Core processors

  • Up to 1TB hard drive

  • Sturdy build quality - solid design and build

  • Good keyboard - good key travel and feel
  • 15.6 wide-screen display - HD resolution
  • Acceptable battery life
  • Decent price
  • Widnows 8 OS - not the best choice for an operating system
Hardware
Asus X55V is pretty well equipped laptop with almost everything you can get in this price range. It is powered by a fast 2.2GHz Intel Core i3 processor and has 6GB of DDR3 RAM. There is also a massive space for storage with either 750GB or  1TB HDD that this laptop comes with. There isn't any cutting edge technology in this laptop but we can say it is one of the well equipped budget 15.6-inch laptops.

The HD display of the Asus X55V also leaves very good impressions but it is glare screen so it doesn't perform very well under direct sunlight conditions.

One thing that accountants will appreciate in this laptop is the added numeric keyboard which is pretty comfortable to use but the overall feedback from all keys on the keyboard is poor.

Connections
Asus X55V does very well in this category as it comes with full range of connectivity options like fast WiFi N adpater, Bluetooth, USB 3.0, HDMI and few others.

Sound
Asus X55V offers some pretty good sound quality thanks to its Altec Lansing speakers which proved to be very good brand when talking about laptop speakers.

Battery
The standard 6-cell battery of the Asus X55V laptop holds charge for around 2-3 hours of work before it needs recharging.

OS
Asus X55V laptop comes preinstalled with Windows 8 operating system.

Price
Though the  X55V is pretty well equipped it isn't expensive. You can find it for around $600 for the higher specs models of this laptop and much less for the base models with less extras.

And just to let you now you can find the Asus X55V laptop in many different variations with different hardware and extra features so these specs I mentioned are for this particular model. I have seen versions of the Asus X55V with Intel Celeron processor, less RAM and smaller HDD.

You can also take a look at the ASUS X53U-SX155V which is another affordable 15.6-inch laptop from this manufacturer.

Thanks for checking my consume review of the Asus X55V laptop, I hope it was useful. Feel free to tell me what are your thoughts about this budget notebook, as well as which laptop would you recommend me to check for my next computer review. Thank you!
