Polaroid MID705 Android tablet specs and review

Price, features and specifications of the Polaroid MIDC705 Android tablet

Polaroid MID705
Polaroid MID705 Android tablet
Polaroid MID705 tablet review - it is cheap Android tablet time again and today at our consumer blog we are going to take a look at the 7-inch Android 4.0 Polaroid MID705 tablet.
The 7-inch capacitive display of the MID705 has native resolution of 800x400 and has good visibility angles even in direct sunlight. The colors are rich and the overall impression of the display are quite good. And don't get me wrong, this isn't a Samsung but you can't expect the best from a tablet that costs under $100.

Polaroid MID705 is powered by a 1GHz Cortex A8 processor and has 512MB of RAM. These specification seem quite updated for a mobile computing device as most smartphones have better hardware but I will remind you once again that these phones don't more than twice as much.
The built-in storage space in the Polaroid MID705 is 4GB, expandable to 32GB with the help of microSD cards.

Connectivity - the Polaroid MID705 has built-in WiFi which allows it to easily connect to wireless networks and the Internet. You can also connect this tablet to your computer via USB.
One of the extra features that the Polaroid MID705 tablet has is the 2.0MP camera located in the front top part of the tablet itself.

The built-in speaker delivers... well it delivers some sound, quality is not the key point here.
OS - Polaroid MID705 comes with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.
Price - the price of the Polaroid MID705 tablet varies around $100.

Samsung UE32EH6030 3D LED TV specs and review

Price, features, specifications and review of the 32-inch Full HD 3D LED TV Samsung UE32EH6030

Samsung UE32EH6030 3D TV
Samsung UE32EH6030 review
Samsung UE32EH6030 review - today at our consumer blog we are going to take a closer look at one of the very good and yet affordable 32-inch 3D LED TVs. The Samsung UE32EH6030 offers great picture quality in both 2D and 3D modes and that what makes it one of the most desirable TV sets in this class.

The UE32EH6030 is part of Samsung 6 series which is a mid-range line of TVs with FULL HD 1080p picture and plenty of useful features.

Design - the UE32EH6030 is not the thinnest of the offered panels in this price range but it has a very thin bezel which makes it quite compact and looking pretty good. One of the downsides that I can point out is the  very shiny black cover of the bezel itself which can distract you a bit. Other than that the overall design and sizes are very good. The square stand of the TV looks simple but gives it a pretty good support of the set.

Features - The 3D function works great on this TV and the 3D active glasses provided do a very good job as well.

Samsung UE32EH6030

The UE32EH6030 is not a Smart TV but comes equipped with plenty of connection options including DLNA (with Allshare) and plenty of ports including USB (with media player), 2x HDMI, Ethernet LAN, Component In, Composite In, Digital audio out, Scart, 3.5mm headphone jack and RF In. Samsung UE32EH6030 has the ConnectShare Movie functions as well.
Samsung UE32EH6030 ports

Samsung UE32EH6030 rear ports

The USB media player works great and the UE32EH6030 will play almost any media file type including movies with subtitles, photos and music.

The remote control is quite intuitive and easy to use with plenty of functions in TV and media player modes.
Samsung UE32EH6030
Samsung UE32EH6030 remote control

Picture quality - you would be really impressed with the good picture quality the UE32EH6030 offers. The 3D effects come out very nice and realistic and the overall 3D experience is very good. The supported Full HD resolution of 1920x1080  and the Wide Color Enhancer Plus combined with the 200Hz Clear Motion Rate make this TV perfect for watching action movies and dynamic sports where the refresh rate of the panel is very important.
Samsung UE32EH6030 is a 3D FULL HD TV with 3D converter and usually comes with a set of 3D glasses.

Sound -  Samsung UE32EH6030 has 2x built-in full range down-firing stereo speakers with Dolby Digital Plus and SRS TheatreSound HD effects. They are good but the combined 20W RMS sound output is just not enough and I would recommend you an external sound system for better performance.

Samsung UE32EH6030 comes equipped with digital DVB-T2 / C and analogue tuners built-in. They work just fine and channels are pretty easy to set as the menus are well arranged and user friendly.
As a LED TV the UE32EH6030 is energy efficient with typical energy consumption of around 50W (will go higher when backlit and brightness are set on max levels).

Samsung UE32EH6030 TV dimensions: 739.4 x 498.6 x 191.6mm (WxHxD)

Price - the Samsung UE32EH6030 is offered for around 500 Euro.

2014 Acura RLX luxury sedan video review

Video preview of the upcoming all new 2014 Acura RLX luxury sedan

2014 Acura RLX review
2014 Acura RLX

2014 Acura RLX review - so here it is the all new luxury sedan by Acura. The car is expected to hit the showrooms very soon and will be in direct competition with the Lexus GS and Infiniti M56.
Acura RLX is a brand new model for the Japanese car manufacturer (or should we say American...) and inherits the typical styling features of all modern Acura-s. Actually the front of the RLX reminds us very much of the Lexus LS600, probably because of the immense number of light units in the main headlights.
The rear lights on the other hands are very similar to those of the latest generation Subaru Legacy.
The interior of the 2014 Acura RLX is extremely spacious and luxurious with all the amenities included.
Here is a short video preview of the 2014 Acura RLX:

One million page views and counting

For consumers blog reached more than one million page views

one million page views

One million page views - it is one of those moments that make you proud of your work and what you do. People often need an obvious proof of the results that follow the months of hard work, that is what keeps us going on and on and on...
one million views

So how did it all started? Well the idea of making a consumer blog seemed pretty reasonable as I myself (the owner) am a pretty active consumer and already had plenty of experience in this field. Global markets are expanding every day and new brands are flooding the consumer's mind with more and more info. It is very hard nowadays to make a clear decision if something is worth buying or not. And here is the time for people like us to help. And don't get me wrong, we won't make your mind into getting or forgetting about a specific product, we will just give you the hints - what is the thing you are interested in all about.
Some of you may say one million page views are not a big deal. That can't be correct if these are achieved for less than a year with just few great tools in hand - quality information provided through good copywriting.
One thing that I am sure needs to be improved in the next few months ( it will, you can count on me) is the way the useful information is served to the customers. In the modern technology era media is almost everything - high quality images and videos are a must for every serious web business.
What's to come? We have few things in mind but we will focus on more popular and better targeted products that will reach a wider range of customers.
We thank YOU. I would like to thank all of our visitors, Twitter followers and YouTube subscribers.

I hope you really like our consumer electronics reviews, tablet reviews, PC and laptop computer reviews, TV reviews, digital camera reviews, car test drives, price charts and comparisons etc.
OK, that's enough talking, I'm be going back to work and remember you are always welcome at our consumer blog, please rate, share and comment and be well.

Sony Bravia KDL-32EX650 LED LCD backlight bleeding problem

LED backlight bleeding effect problems with Sony Bravia KDL-32EX650 LCD TV

Sony Bravia KDL-32EX650 LED LCD backlight
Sony Bravia KDL-32EX650 LED LCD backlight bleeding problem

I bought the Sony Bravia KDL-32EX650 LED TV some time ago and I have to say I was really impressed with the performance of this TV. It offers great Full HD picture quality and watching movies and TV on this one is a real pleasure. Picture is clear and colors are vivid and there are plenty of useful features and settings that will satisfy almost any taste.
However it was too good to be true, especially with the low price tag I managed to get this TV. There was a problem with the LED backlit LCD panel - bright light spots on both top corners appeared every time the screen was on black scene. Actually it isn't a big deal as this effect was only visible in dark room and only with completely black background but it still managed to ruin the good impressions I had with this Bravia KDL-32EX650 TV.

I made a small research and it seemed that many of the panels from Sony's EX-series had the same problem and on some of them it was even more obvious. It takes even greater part of the screen on bigger displays (32 and above). Here are some photos of the bleeding effect that I have with my Sony Bravia KDL-32EX650 LED TV:

Sony Bravia KDL-32EX650 problems
Sony Bravia KDL-32EX650 problems
Sony Bravia KDL-32EX650 with lights turned on
The first two pictures are made in high sensitivity mode (ISO) without flash and as you can see the bleeding effect is pretty obvious. It is not that strong in real conditions but it is still there.

The last image is with lights in room turned on and you can see there is almost no visible bleeding effect whatsoever.  /these pictures are made with the amazing (so far) Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-HX9V/
I reduced the LED backlight setting to a minimum but the effect remained. Than I changed some more of the enhanced settings this TV has and it seems like there is a little improvement.
Probably some of you will say it isn't that big of a deal but as I said it was more than enough to ruin the perfect impressions I had so far.

As this Bravia KDL-32EX650 is still pretty new I am going to contact the Sony service and have it checked under warranty. If that is a common thing on all panels of this series that it is OK and I will try to get used to it but if it can be fixed why not try than.

Please share your thought on this problem and let me know if you had any issues with your Sony Bravia TV.

BMW is one of the most popular car manufacturers in the world. For this and many other reasons there are plenty of tuning studios which are trying to improve the stock BMWs and make them super-sport cars. Not that most sport BMWs are not already a very decent sports cars but the thrill of having a unique custom car is always going to attract new customers.
Alpina is considered the home tuning studio for the Bavarian company, of course this excludes the M-cars which are so many these days that we count them pure BMWs but not tuning model.
Here are some of the new Alpina BMW cars that we saw at the last few motorshows around the world. You may recognize popular BMW models like the 5, 6 and the 7-series.

Price, features, specifications and video review of the 9-inch Google Android 4.0 tablet Freelander PD60-A

Freelander PD60-A tablet review
Freelander PD60-A Android 4.0 tablet

Freelander PD60-A review - it is the first time that we are going to take a closer look at a tablet from this brand. As it seems the Freelander PD60-A is another cheap Android tablet with big display and some useful features.

Freelander PD60-A tablet is powered by a 1.2GHz Allwiner Cortex A8 processor and has only 512MB of DDR3 RAM.

The 9.0-inch capacitive multi-touch display of this tablet has resolution of 800x480 pixels. That is not the highest resolution in this class but we have to admit images come out really good on the PD60-A tablet.

As a conclusion we can say this is one of the good cheap tablet displays.

One of the good features of the Freelander PD60-A is that it supports fast 802.11 b/g/n WiFi connection. 3G connection is possible through external dongle. Unfortunately Bluetooth isn't available in this tablet.
Storage -  Freelander PD60-A has 8GB of built-in storage space but also supports microSD cards of up to 32GB.
The  PD60-A also has a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera, built-in speaker and G-sensor.
Price - the price of the Freelander PD60-A tablet is around £70 in UK.

Canon PowerShot S110 camera unboxing, hands-on and video review

Price, features and specifications of the Canon PowerShot S110 digital camera

Canon PowerShot S110
Canon PowerShot S110 compact digital camera review
Canon PowerShot S110 review - Canon PowerShot S110 is a high-end compact digital camera with 12.1-megapixel sensor, 5x optical zoom and Full HD video recording capabilities.
The PowerShot S110 is equipped with some of the latest Canon technologies with improved stabilization, better high-speed autofocus and some useful manual controls.
I will not go too deep in details about all the shooting modes that the S110 has but I have to mention the Multi-Aspect Ratio RAW and ISO 12800 which give this camera a bit more professional performance than the average compact camera.
In most occasions you will use the Canon PowerShot S110 with its Smart Auto mode which combined with the high-speed AF will do the job just fine. Of course you can override some settings thanks to the easy use of the manual control ring.
On the back of the Canon PowerShot S110 you can find the gorgeous 3.0-inch LCD touchscreen display which is the only viewfinder in this camera (no optical viewfinder).
Another very nice feature of the Canon PowerShot S110 camera is the built-in WiFi which allows easy and fast wireless connection to other WiFi enabled devices. This can be very practical for many users.
Here is an unboxing video and hands-on review of the capable Canon PowerShot S110.

Price - the Canon PowerShot S110 camera can be found for around $420 (around £270 in UK).

LG 42LM3450 3D LED TV
LG 42LM3450 3D Full HD LED TV
LG 42LM3450 review- in case you are in the search for affordable 42-inch screen with Full HD 1080p picture quality and the option to watch in 3D than you may want to take a closer look at the LG 42LM3450 3D LED TV.
The LG 42LM3450 is 42-inch Full HD 1080p 3D LED TV which offers good picture quality and plenty of useful features. Probably the only thing missing are the Smart TV functions which are not available in this TV.
Everything else that you might think of this TV has it - 100Hz refresh rate, Full HD, Cinema 3D, Freeview tuner, USB media player, 3x HDMI ports, Smart Energy technology and many others.
Picture quality - the 42LM3450 offers very good picture quality, with bright and vivid colors. The 100Hz refresh rate reduces motion blur in fast scenes to an absolute minimum. As this is one of the low end panels which LG produces some ghosting effect can be noticed from time to time but nothing that will spoil the good experience this TV.
The user interface and menus are typical LG user friendly, probably best in class.
Price - one of the biggest advantages of the LG 42LM3450 is not the big screen size but the low price tag. The are very good deals for this TV, some as low as £400.

LG flicker free 3D experience

If you are into big 42-inch panels I would also recommend you the LG 42LV550T which is one of the very good models in this class.

New Mazda 6 2013 estate and sedan car review

Car test drive and video review of Mazda 6 2013 estate and sedan

Mazda 6 2013
New Mazda 6 2013

Mazda 6 2013 review - Mazda 6 is one of the most popular mid-sized cars in  Europe (and few other continents) and now it is time for the latest generation of this successful Japan car.
We saw the 2013 Mazda 6 at the Paris Motor Show this autumn and if I have to be honest I was quite impressed with the new look of the car. And there was nothing wrong with the previous model as well, it had very nice exterior design and pretty neat and functional interior. So it was kind of a hard task for Mazda designers not to mess up the new generation but they did really good.
Exterior. The 2013 Mazda 6 looks a bit more masculine than its predecessor and that is thanks to the more aggressive front end design with LED daytime running lights and sporty looking grill.  The rear of the car looks sporty and yet very elegant. The overall first impression with the new Mazda 6 is very good.
The car itself will be offered in two body styles - 4-door sedan and 5-door estate.
Mazda 6 2013
New Mazda 6 2013 - front grill
New Mazda 6 2013
Mazda 6 2013 rear lights
Interior. I will not spend much time discussing the interior of the 2013 Mazda 6 because I think the main thing about interior is functionality - ease of access, well arranged instruments, good overall practicality. These are the key features are all available in the new Mazda 6 2013 which is the reason we give its interior a very high rating.
Technical specs. The production of the third generation Mazda 6 will be in Hiroshima, Japan. First models will come out with 2.0 and 2.5-liter SKYACTIVE-G petrol engines or with 2.2-liter SKYACTIVE-D diesel engine coupled with either 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmissions.
Here are some images of the new Mazda 6 2013 that we made at the 2012 Paris Motor Show:

eFun Nextbook Premium7SE 7-inch Android tablet
eFun Nextbook Premium7SE series - it is Android tablet time again and it is going to be a cheap one today. The 7-inch eFun Nextbook Premium7SE tablet is an affordable Google Android 4.0 tablet with 1GHz processor and nice TFT display.
Here are the main features and specifications of the 7-inch eFun Nextbook tablet:
Display: 7-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen display with resolution of 800x400
Processor: 1GHz single core Cortex A8
RAM: 512 DDR3
Storage space: 4GB and microSD card slot
Interfaces: USB 2.0, 3.5mm headphone jack, microSD card slot
Connectivity: WiFi support
Additional: 0.3MP front-facing camera, speaker, G-sensor

If I have to be honest I would never give my money for a tablets with similar specifications but there are plenty of consumers who are looking for a simple device that can do some simple stuff with the advantage of a very low price tag. There are so many cheap Android tablets on the market today that I am sure many people are confused with the new brands that come up every day. I would recommend the eFun Nextbook Premium7SE tablet as a cheap entertainment device for those (probably youngsters) who need some basic technology on the go.

UMC 32-inch slim HD LED TV specs and review

UMC 32-inch slim HD LED TV - price, features and specifications
UMC 32-inch HD LED TV review
UMC 32-inch slim HD LED TV
UMC 32-inch slim HD LED TV review - probably most of you had already spent the Christmas budget on presents but for those who have some money left aside it is the perfect time to spend. There are plenty of overstocked goods in some stores and New Year clearances are to come in the next few weeks.
Today I found a great TV deal on eBay where the 32-inch slim LED TV UMC is on sale for just £170.
I imagine that strange look of yours while trying to figure out what is this UMC brand and who on Earth would like to buy any of their products. Manufacturer UMC produces some quite cheap electronic goods with average product quality, most suitable for consumers with low budgets.
Today we are going at UMC's 32-inch slim HD LED TV which has a LED backlit panel and offers 720p HD pciture (resolution of 1366x768) and some good features and specs.
First impressions - our first impressions with the UMC 32-inch slim HD LED TV are actually very good. The device itself is really very thin and compact for a TV of this size.

Features - this TV comes with some good features including integrated Freeview tuner, built-in USB media player (good for images, music and some video files) and 3x HDMI ports.

The picture quality of the  32-inch UMC slim HD LED TV isn't great but we probably can't expect better from a TV in this price range. The good news is that this TV has a 3.5mm headphone jack so you can easily set up your sound system and at least have some quality sound because the output from the stock stereo speakers isn't any good.
So, if you are in the search of really cheap and slim 32-inch HDTV you may consider the slim HD LED TV a good deal.

And if you like cheap TVs I would also recommend you the Agora 3D TV and the 32-inch Finlux 3D TV.
But if you are looking for an affordable 32-inch panel with perfect picture quality, Smart TV features and plenty of other extras than you should definitely check the amazing Sony Bravia KDL-32EX650 review.
