2012 Kia Optima review

2012 Kia Optima review - test drive and review of the all new mid-sized car Kia Optima

Last year Kia presented their new optima and it has been a real hit since than. The car's new innovative design and upmarket features draw a lot of attention. But it is not all looks about the new Optima. The vehicle is much more refined than any Kia vehicle before and now this brand can really be serious thread for big car companies like Toyota, Honda and some others.
The 2012 Kia Optima looks sporty and elegant with some visual similarities with the North American version of the Honda Accord.

But it is the interior of the car where the new 2012 Optima really shines. The dash looks like one taken from a Volvo or Saab but that is definitely a good thing - the dash is very well laid out and all the instruments are easy to use. There are plenty of options for the new model, including all high-tech features of a modern vehicle. You can get your Optima with luxury extras like heated leather seats, backup camera and some other premium features.
The engine choices for the new Optima include one diesel (for Europe customers) and five petrol engines. They are coupled with either 6-speed automatic (with Eco mode) or 6-speed manual transmission.
There is a hybrid version in the new Optima's model range, combining a 2.4-liter engine with a six-speed automatic transmission, and a 30kW electric motor powered by lithium polymer batteries. It is the same technology used in the Hyundai Sonata Hybrid.
The prices for the 2012 Kia Optima start from around $ 20,000 up to $30,000 for the fully loaded with extras models. The Optima Hybrid starts from around $27,000 (in US).
