Everythime I come across an interesting deal online I share it here as I think our readers can benefit from that and find a certain product at a good price. Today I am going to focus your attention at another cheap Android tablet which is not very popular among Android fans and communities - DGM T-814DH.

This is basically a slim 8-inch (7.85 inches to be precise) tablet with dual-core processor and 8 GB for storage. The process power is delivered by 1.5 GHz processor which looks more then fine for a cheap tablet but it is coupled of just 512 MB of DDR3 RAM which is qutie low by any standards. The screen resolution is also quite low but considered fine for a tablet of this size - 1024x768 pixels. The operating system is Android 4.2.

DGM T-814DH tablet dimensions: 200 x 135 x 10mm and weight of 315 grams

The Li-Polymer battery capacity is 3500mAh which should be fine for one day of active use. DGM T-814DH has two cameras on board - 0.3 MP front-facing camera and 2.0 MP rear camera.

Price: You can find the T-814DH at Amzon for just £50, at eBay UK it is offered a bit more expensive for £75.

Currently we can't offer you an in-depth review of the DGM T-814DH tablet as we still haven't got our hands on it for a test but you can check the review for the cheaper DGM T-703.

Touchpad test of the premium ultrabook Dell Latitude E7240

Dell Latitude E7240 touchpad tested

Dell Latitude E7240 is one of the most expensive machines in Dell's premium line of  light and portable laptops. The E7240 offers great performance on the go and is one of the preferred business ultrabooks these days. That is the reason why we decided to make an in-depth test of its touchpad which role is extremely important when doing business from your mobile computing device.

First impressions

I myself have been using the Latitude E7240 extensively these days and didn't have any mouse plugged in the computer so I was entirely counting on the built-in touchpad. My first impressions from its performance were good but not great though, The touchpad is pretty accurate but doesn't provide the best feedback in this class. I should remind you that the configuration I am using costs almost $2000 so we should be pretty demanding when discussing any of the components of this Dell ultrabook.

No multi-touch

Dell Latitude E7240 no multitouch touchpad
Dell Latitude E7240 touchpad doesn't support mulit-touch

I was also very surprise to find that the touchpad itself doesn't support multi-touch which for me is really strange. I guess Dell had anything in mind when taking the decision not to implement multitouch functionality in the E7240 touchpad but I would really prefer to have it on board. The Latitude E7240 doesn't offer trackpad even as an option which is also a bit disappointing as many business users are used to having it on their expensive laptops.
Edit: After installing Dell Touchpad drivers and software the additional features like pinch to zoom and some others are now available.

Seperate touchpad keys

E7240 touchpad keys

Thankfully Dell separated the touchpad keys from the touchpad itself and believe me that makes a huge difference. This way we avoid the common scenario of accidentally hitting any of the two buttons. On the other hand the feeling of pressing these hardware buttons is much better than having them built in the touchpad so I really like the fact that they have these buttons separated.

Verdict

Dell Latitude E7240 has a very user friendly touchpad which is quite good for daily activities but it lacks some important features like multi-touch and pinch to zoom. There is also room for improvement in the accuracy of the touchpad. All this means that my old favorite touchpad in the HP EliteBook is still the best in class offering great feel and accuracy and has very usable trackpad with two separate hardware keys under the keyboard in addition.

Lenovo A536 budget smartphone

Review of the very capable budget Android smartphone Lenovo A536

In todays smartphone review I am going to present you one of the latest smartphone released by Lenovo - the A536. This basically is a budget oriented devices which has almost all the features that one may need on the go.

After I made a little research it seems that the A536 is going to be offered mainly in Eastern Europe and some parts of Asia. Actually It surprised me a little that this phone is not very popular around as it offers great stuff for under $200 - WiFi, GPS, large 5-inch screen and others.
I am not going to talk about the performance of this device as I don't have much ecperiencce with the phone itself and I wouldn't like to give you any misleading information.

Here is a short  (well not very short) unboxing video which will give you much better idea what is the Lenovo A536 smartphone all about:

Another very interesting competitor in this size segment is the Kocaso M6200 which is a bit smaller but also quite cheaper than the Samsung Galaxy Mega. We also have the Ampe A62 which desing features are very similar to those of the Galaxy Mega I9205 but again the price is quite lower which makes it one of the top offers among the variety of budget phablets.
