DGM T-703 7-inch Android tablet review

Price, features and specifications of the 7-inch Google Android tablet DGM T-703

DGM T-703 tablet review - DGM T-703 is a cheap, lightweight Android tablet with 7-inch capacitive touchscreen and a fast 1.2GHz ARM Cortex-A8 processor.

DGM T-703
DGM T-703 tablet

The cheap Android tablet invasion made many manufacturers rush into this market without any preparation at all. That is one of the reasons why we have so many unsuccessful cheap Android tablet on the market today. There are plenty of examples where the tablets mentioned are usable for a month or so. The DGM T-703 is one of the tablets that we cannot say for sure it is more reliable than the rest in this price range but you definitely cannot expect a lot from a device that costs less than £70.

DGM T-814DH Android tablet

As I already mentioned DGM T-703 has 1.2GHz single-core processor and 512MB of RAM. The space for storage is 4GB and it could be extended up to 32GB with an additional microSD card.

Connectivity options of the DGM T-703 tablet include WiFi connection so browsing the net is OK with this one. Other interfaces included: Mini USB, Mini HDMI (supports HD video playback on your LCD TV), headphone jack.
A nice feature for such a cheap tablet is the built-in 0.3M pixels camera.
The battery is 3000mAh Li Polymer and will be good for few hours of work.
The operating system is the well known Google Android 4.0 .

Motorola Xoom 2 tablet specs and review

Features, specs and full video review of the Android tablet Motorola Xoom 2 MZ616

Motorola Xoom 2 review - the second generation of this 10.1-inch Google Android tablet offers better hardware and few software improvements as well. It is offered with the choice of either 16GB or 32GB version with 3G or WiFi only.
Motorola Xoom 2
Motorola Xoom 2 tablet
Motorola Xoom 2 is a solid and very well build lightweight 10-inch tablet with plenty of good features and specs above the average.

Motorola Xoom 2 tablet is a very capable dual-core tablet but it is a bid outdated especially if you take a look at the upcoming quad-core tablets with 2GB of RAM and extreme graphics options. Another feature that lets the Xoom 2 tablet down is the operating system it uses - the Android 3.2 Honeycomb. And please don't get me wrong, there is nothing bad with this Android OS but it better suits smartphones rather than high quality tablets.
Motorola Xoom 2 tablet         Motorola Xoom 2 tablet review

Motorola Xoom 2 gets its hardware power from the 1.2GHz ARM Cortex-A9 dual-core processor. The system memory is 1GB (RAM) and the space for storage is either 32GB or 16GB for the cheaper model. Of course you can extend the memory capacity by additional microSD card (up to 32GB).
Motorola Xoom 2 has a very nice 10.1-inch HD-IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display which offers great colors and good viewing angles. Unfortunately like many other tablets it is highly glossy display so you may have some troubles with reflection on direct sunlight. Other than that it is a great display with high resolution of 1280x800 pixels. As for responsiveness the display is not the greatest out there but is better than the average with good feedback. The display itself is covered with the popular Gorilla Glass to make it even tougher against scratches and other harmful actions.
Motorola Xoom 2 has all the connection options you may need on the go. These include a fast 802.11 a/b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth, microUSB, GPS, GPRS, 3G (HSDPA, 21 Mbps; HSUPA, 5.76 Mbps) and HDMI port.
One great feature of the Motorola Xoom 2 tablet are the built-in stereo speakers which provide some of the best sounds coming from a tablet, really awesome sound.
Motorola Xoom 2 also has two cameras on board - one 5MP rear camera with LED flash and HD video recording capability and another front facing 1.3MP camera with mic.
The picture quality of the 5MP camera is good and the auto focus works great, as an overall one of the good cameras inserted in a tablet and a good improvement over the previous generation.
The battery is Li-Ion 7000 mAh and it will be good for over 5 hours of extensive use.
The price for the Motorola Xoom 2 is a small drawback for some potential buyers. This tablet is definitely not what you call cheap but considering the amazing build quality and the improved performance it is quite natural for the price to be a bit higher than expected.
You can find the 16GB version for around $500 (around £350 in UK) and the latest model with 32GB will set you back some $650.

Logitech Z623 speakers test and review

Specifications and sound test of the 2.1 speaker system Logitech Z623

Logitech Z623 2.1 speakers review - this high quality THX-Certified audio system performs very well and is great for home users looking for an affordable quality sound system for their PC.
In this review we are going to show you how the Logitech Z623 sounds when bass is tested to the max and some other basics for this sound system.
Logitech Z623
Logitech Z623 speakers
Logitech Z623 consists of one powerful subwoofer and two satellite speakers. The maximum power output is 200 watts (RMS).
Logitech Z623 performs well with all the basic stuff at home like watching movies, playing games and listening some music. The sound is bold and clear but if you like to listen your music louder than you may need to look at some of the more powerful speaker systems.
Here is a sample bass test to show you how the woofer reacts on low frequency sound:

Logitech Z623 bass test

You need to know that the quality of the sound you here depends on your speakers as well so this is basically a video example of how the Logitech Z623 performs

And here is an unboxing video and overview of the Logitech Z623 speakers:

The price for this quality 2.1 sound system isn't high at all. You can easily find it for around $120-150 which is not exactly cheap but it looks like a good deal considering the good sound capabilities of the Logitech Z623 speaker system. If you are lucky you can find it manufacturer refurbished for under $100.

Cadillac XTS test drive and review

Cadillac XTS test drive and review

Test drive and video review of the all new 2013 Cadillac XTS luxury sedan

Cadillac XTS test drive and review - today at For consumers blog we are going to take a closer look at the all new 2013 Cadillac XTS luxury sedan. This exclusive vehicle replaces two of the well known Cadillac models - the STS and the DTS luxury sedans.
Cadillac XTS
Cadillac XTS front view
The XTS is a completely new vehicle with innovative design and plenty of new tech features. The car itself is quite big but thanks to the aggressive styling with the typical for new Cadillacs "V-styling" design elements it looks sporty and elegant at the same time.
The exterior is very similar to the Buick Lacrosse and looks a bit like the latest generation Jaguar XJ. Similarities with the Buick could be considered something quite normal as both vehicles use one and the same platform.
Cadillac XTS
Cadillac XTS side view
Cadillac XTS
Cadillac XTS rear side view
Like any other Cadillac on the market the XTS is packed with features but there are plenty of innovations specifically made for this model. The numerous safety features make a very good impression - blind spot detection, rear view camera and few other assists make your trip with this car safe.

Probably I don't even have to mention that this is one of the most exclusive and luxury vehicles on the American market. Leather upholstery, wooden applications and high quality materials make the XTS quite an exclusive vehicle. Of course you can opt for one of the advance luxury trim levels in case you want to spend some more cash on extras.

The interior of the Cadillac XTS very spacious and four adults will enjoy any long trip no matter the distance. One of the interesting tech features in the interior is the changeable dashboard instrument panel. It basically is a large LCD screen which can be changed into one of the preconfigured instrument panel designs so it can look more sporty or better organised and simple to use depending on the mood you are. The entry level models doesn't have this feature but the regular speedometer, rev-counter and a small display for the board computer.

The middle console is dominated by a another huge LCD display which allows you to control all the basic and extra functions of the vehicle like the climate controls, stereo, navigation system and many more.
Both front and rear seats are pretty big and comfortable. There is a separate climate controls for the rear passengers in the higher spec models.

The panoramic sunroof is also a nice feature, but it definitely could be bigger (it looks the same size as the one in the current CTS).
The XTS is powered by Cadillac's 3.6 liter V6 engine which generates 304 horsepower and 264 lb.ft of torque. A four-wheel drive version is also available for the XTS as well as the popular magnetic ride suspension.

The price for this exclusive vehicle varies around $ 45,000 for the base model and can reach $60,000 for the packed with features Platinum model.

Some thoughts on the financing of the biggest sport event on the planet

The sponsors of the Olympic games London 2012 - the open Olympic games ceremony is scheduled for this evening and there will be plenty of attention on this event.
Olympic Games London 2012
 Olympic Games London 2012
The Olympic games is by far the biggest sport event on the planet and for this reason it is the most expensive as well. Nothing else doesn't come even close to the budget for the Olympics.

This year the event will take place in London, one of the most popular cities in the world. Some people would argue if it is a good idea to make event this big in such heavily urbanized area where traffic and accommodation can often cause huge problems. But the choice has been made a long time ago and all the facilities and equipment is ready for the Summer Olympics in 2012.
Acer will provide most of the equipment for the Olympics in London and they will sponsor the event big time.
As I already mentioned such an event costs a lot of money and because of the enormous media attention many manufacturers will compete for the best advertising spaces at the Olympics.
My guess is that tech companies like Samsung, Panasonic, HP  will be the biggest advertisers at London 2012 and they will spend the most money. As you've probably noticed Samsung sponsors many sport events around the world. Of course thousands of companies will take part in the advertising campaigns at the Olympics and that is one of the ways for the hosts of the event to gather some funds and cover part of the huge expenses for the Olympic games in London.
And of course some of the biggest sponsors will be the car manufacturers who have the potential to pay the high advertising fees of the event.
I hope the Olympics in London will happen without any serious issues and problems and that the events there will bring many positive feelings for sport enthusiasts around the world.

Few thoughts on the summer Olympics in London - video

Enjoy the summer Olympics London 2012 and don't forget to practice your favorite sports as often as possible.
