Logik L22FE12 22-inch Full HD LED TV

Logik L22FE12 22-inch Full HD LED TV price, specs and quick review

Logik L22FE12 review
Logik L22FE12 22-inch Full HD LED TV

Logik L22FE12 is a cheap 22-inch Full HD LED TV which is sold mostly in UK. This TV will probably fit perfectly in your kitchen or any other small room that you have and want to add some multimedia entertainment to it.

Logik L22FE12 has nice and sample design but its shiny frame is very thick and could be quite destructing sometimes.

Logik L22FE12 supports Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 and has brightness of 250 cd/m² and 1000:1 contrast ratio. The refresh rate is not very high, just 60Hz,  but that is something quite normal for such cheap small TV. Logik is using the MStar Advanced Color Engine for improving the picture quality in the L22FE12.

I think the sound is not too bad for a small TV, nothing impressive though. Logik L22FE12 has two 3W stereo speakers with SRS true Surround HD and 3.5mm headphone jack.

The connectivity options include USB, 2x HDMI ports, Scart, SVGA, Composite Video and Component Video.

As you the Logik L22FE12 offers some good features and specs and for the price of around £120 it can be considered a very good deal.

You can also take a look at the Logik L22FED12 which is practically the same TV but combined with a build-in DVD player.

Samsung UE55F6400 55-inch 3D Full HD Smart LED TV price, features and specifications

Samsung UE55F6400 55-inch 3D Smart LED TV review

Samsung UE55F6400 review
Samsung UE55F6400 55-inch 3D Full HD Smart LED TV
Samsung UE55F6400 is a premium 55-inch 3D Full HD Smart LED TV which offers some of the latest features and technology at a very reasonable price. And though this is not the most expensive Samsung TV of this size it probably offers the best value for money ratio for those searching for a big screen TV.

Samsung UE55F6400 is a stylish looking TV with the typical design features from the F6400 series and the One Design series. I myself am not big fan of the looks of these TVs because of the combination of shiny metal stand with black gloss frame of the panel. The frame itself is quite thin and makes the UE55F6400 look smaller than other 55-inch LED TVs.
Samsung UE55F6400 measures 125.04 x 72.46 x 4.88 cm and weighs around 16.8 kg without the stand.

Samsung is using some key technologies for making the picture quality of the UE55F6400 one of the best in class. The Wide Color Enhancer Plus, 200 Clear Motion Rate, Mega Contrast and the 3D HyperReal Engine make this active 3D TV perform exceptionally well in different conditions.
Samsung UE55F6400 achieves very good speed and performance when using the Smart TV functions thanks to its dual core processing technology. This technology is implemented in almost all new Samsung Smart TVs and   significantly improves the overall performance of the TV when using the different apps and Internet features.
With this TV you also get the Smart Interaction 2.0 interface as well as Samsung's Smart TV 2.0 which includes Smart Hub, On TV, S Recommendation, Web browser and many other interesting apps.
Connecting to the Internet goes effortlessly through the built-in WiFi. Samsung UE55F6400 also has plenty other connection options like 4x HDMI ports, 3x USB ports, RF in, Ethernet (LAN), Scart, CI, Component   Y / Pb / Pr, Composite AV, optical (sound) and 3.5mm headphone jack.
Samsung UE55F6400 delivers good quality sound through its 2x 10W speakers. They support Dolby Digital Plus / Dolby Pulse, DTS Studio Sound, DTS Premium Audio 5.1 and 3D sound.

As i already mentioned the Samsung UE55F6400 is not the most expensive big screen Full HD LED TV in Samsung's model line. You can find it for around 1500 Euro (£1300 in UK) which is a fair price considering the good features and specs of this 55-inch  3D Full HD Smart LED TV.
If I myself had to buy a TV from this price and size segment I would probably choose the Sony KDL-55W805 which looks much better and offers the same (if not better) functionality as the Samsung UE55F6400. But if Samsung is you brand you definitely won't go wrong with the UE55F6400 which is a good value TV.

Philips 40PFL3008H 40-inch Full HD LED TV

Philips 40PFL3008H 40-inch Full HD LED TV price, specifications and review

Philips 40PFL3008H review
Philips 40PFL3008H
Philips 40PFL3008H review - this affordable 40-inch Full HD LED TV is perfect for those searching for big screen with good picture quality but want to stay low on the budget.

Design
Philips 40PFL3008H won't impress you with looks, it is entirely made of black shiny plastics (which I don't like at all) and is neither the thinnest or the lightest of the TVs in this segment. It measures 93 x 55.4 x 7.7 cm       without the stand and weighs around 8 kg. The build quality is on a good level.

Features
Philips 40PFL3008H doesn't offer any 3D or Smart TV features but that is quite normal considering the fact Philips wanted to keep the low price tag. Philips 40PFL3008H offers good quality Full HD 1080p picture with maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. This TV has brightness of 300 cd/m² and 100 000 : 1 dynamic contrast. Philips is also using their Digital Crystal Clear and 100 Hz Perfect Motion Rate technologies for improving the overall performance and picture quality of the  40PFL3008H.

Sound
The sound in the Philips 40PFL3008H is provided by 2x 8W stereo speakers with Clear Sound and Incredible Surround.

Connections
2x HDMI
SCART
AV
USB
 IEC75 antenna
CI+
VGA
Optical audio
3.5 mm headphone jack

Price
Philips 40PFL3008H is offered for around 400 Euro ($550) which makes it one of the most affordable TVs in the 40-inch Full HD LED TV class.

I would also recommend you two other affordable 40-inch LED TVs - Samsung UE40EH5000K and Finlux 40F6050.

LG 47LN5700 47-inch Full HD Smart LED TV

LG 47LN5700 47-inch Full HD Smart LED TV review

LG 47LN5700 review
LG 47LN5700 47-inch Full HD Smart LED TV

LG 47LN5700 is a 47-inch entry level Full HD LED TV with built in WiFi connection and variety of Smart TV functions. Actually everything that we mentioned about the LG 42LN5700 review is true for the 47LN5700 but with bigger screen size (42 vs 47 inches). LG 47LN5700 is also one of the most affordable TV from LG's 47-inch LED TV collection.
For improving the picture quality in this budget 47-inch Full HD Smart LED TV LG is using their TrueMotion 120Hz and the Triple XD engine technologies. The overall result is pretty good and the  47LN5700 delivers very good vivid picture with good processing time.
The sound in the LG 47LN5700 is provided by 2x 10W stereo speakers with DTS decoder, Clear Voice II technology and Sound Optimizer with 3 modes - Normal, Wall Mount, Stand. You have also another six modes to choose from the Sound Mode menu - Standard, Music, Cinema, Sport, Game, User.
Plenty of connection options are available for the LG 47LN5700 LED TV - 3x HDMI, 3x USB (2.0 and 3.0), AV in, RF in, Component video in, RS-232, digital audio out and LAN.
LG 47LN5700 is also equipped with built-in WiFi so connecting to the Internet is easy and effortless.
All Smart TV functions can be controlled through the Home Dashboard 3.0 menu or you can just pick apps from the App Store.
LG 47LN5700 is one of the cheapest 47-inch Full HD Smart LED TVs on the market today (compared to other premium brands) with a price tag of around $750-800.

If you want something even cheaper than you should check the Finlux 47F7010. And if you want the best value for money 47-inch LED TV than you need the Sony KDL-47W802A which is one amazing 47-inch 3D Smart LED TV but of course it is slightly more expensive.

Head YOUTEK Graphene Speed S tennis racket

Head YOUTEK Graphene Speed S tennis racket review

Head YOUTEK Graphene Speed S is currently one of my favorite rackets and that is why I decided to make this quick review of the racket. Actually if I had to replace my Head Ti S1 it would be either with the Head YOUTEK IG Speed Elite or with the  YOUTEK Graphene Speed S.

Head YOUTEK Graphene Speed S
Head YOUTEK Graphene Speed S tennis racket
Head YOUTEK Graphene Speed S has a headsize of 100 square inches and weighs just 285 grams (300 grams with strings). This makes it perfect for advanced players who like the power and control of a premium professional racket but want a lighter, more maneuverable frame. The YOUTEK Graphene Speed S will suit to most women tennis players.

There are couple key technologies used in the Head YOUTEK Graphene Speed S which makes it really special tennis racket. The most impressive is the smart material called d3o which is used  in key parts of the frame and together with the lightweight and strong Graphene make this racket quite powerful and also with plenty of feel thanks to the active d3o material.

Head is using 16x19 open string pattern which helps you generate more power.
is a very good racket but unfortunately it is quite expensive. Its price of around $200 makes it one of the more expensive tennis rackets in this class.
Anyways the YOUTEK Graphene Speed S is the perfect club player racket and I strongly recommend it.

In case you are an advanced player and  you need a bit more power and control than you should definitely take a look at the Head YouTek Graphene Speed Pro

LG 42LN5700 42-inch Full HD Smart LED TV review

LG 42LN5700 42-inch Full HD Smart LED TV price, specifications and review

LG 42LN5700 42-inch Full HD Smart LED TV
LG 42LN5700

LG 42LN5700 review - in case you are in the search of affordable 42-inch Full HD Smart LED TV than you may consider the LG 42LN5700 as one of the best choices matching those requirements.  It delivers very good picture quality and Smart TV functions and is offered at a very reasonable price.

Looks

LG 42LN5700 is a simple looking TV with typical LG design. Its frame is decided entirely in black and is made of plastics. The frame thickness of the panel is relatively small and the panel itself is quite slim. As an entry level 42-inch TV the LG 42LN5700 won't impress anyone with design but its sample looks will suit most customers.

Technology

LG 42LN5700 offers good quality Full HD 1080p picture with maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Fast moving objects in action movies and sports are not a problem for the 42LN5700 thanks to the TrueMotion 120Hz and the Triple XD engine. Another innovation for this TV is the dual-core processing which makes most functions significantly faster. As you probably know Samsung and Sony are now also using dual-core technology even in some of their budget models so it is a good thing that LG is keeping up with the competition.

LG 42LN5700 is also one of the most energy-efficient TVs in its class with power consumption of only 41.4 W and 0.3 W in stand-by mode. These exceptional specs brought the ENERGY STAR® Most efficient 2013 television award for the LG 42LN5700.

Smart TV

LG 42LN5700 is a fully functioning Smart TV with built-in WiFi connection with Wi-Fi Direct and WiDi for easier connecting process. There are plenty of interesting and useful apps that are available from the Home Dashboard 3.0 menu and the App Store - web browser, LG cloud, Smart Share Plus, Skype and many others.

This TV is also DLNA and Windows 8 certified.

Sound

The sound in the LG 42LN5700 is provided by 2x 10W stereo speakers with DTS decoder, Clear Voice II technology and Sound Optimizer with 3 modes - Normal, Wall Mount, Stand. You have also another six modes to choose from the Sound Mode menu - Standard, Music, Cinema, Sport, Game, User.

The overall impression from these speakers and the sound performance is pretty good.

Connections

Like most other LG LED TVs this one is also very well equipped with connection options - 3x HDMI, 3x USB (2.0 and 3.0),  AV in, RF in, Component video in, RS-232, digital audio out and LAN are available in the LG 42LN5700.

Price

As I already mentioned in the beginning the 42LN5700 is an entry level 42-inch LED TV for LG so its price of around $850 makes it one of the most affordable 42-inch Full HD Smart LED TV-s on the market today.
If you need slightly bigger screen, there is a 47-inch version of this TV- LG 47LN5700.

But before you rush and go buy this great 42-inch TV I would also recommend you to take a look at the best 42-inch Full HD LED TVs for 2013.

Samsung UN40F5500 40-inch Full HD Smart LED TV

Price, specifications and review of the 40-inch Full HD Smart LED TV Samsung UN40F5500

Samsung UN40F5500 review
Samsung UN40F5500
Samsung UN40F5500 review - if you are in the search of affordable quality 40-inch Full HD LED TV than the UN40F5500 might be the perfect choice for you.
This is one of the new 40-inch panels for Samsung for 2013 among with all the other size from the 5500 series which is the entry level model line of LED TVs from this manufacturer.
Samsung UN40F5500 has slim design but I don't like its looks because of the color and the size of the panel frame which somehow doesn't suit the overall design of this TV.
Samsung UN40F5500 offers good quality Full HD 1080p picture but most impressive of all is the processing speed of most functions in this TV. The UN40F5500 is pretty fast and responsive thanks to Samsung's dual-core processing technology which improves significantly the usability of most Smart TV functions and the overall performance of the TV itself.
Samsung UN40F5500 has variety of Smart TV functions and thanks to its built-in WiFi it connects to the Internet pretty fast. There is a fully functioning web browser and plenty of social apps.
As for the sound in the UN40F5500 it is on a very good level. Technologies like DTS Premium Sound, 5.1 decoding with DTS Studio Sound processing are working for the better sound experience with this nice 40-inch LED TV.
Samsung UN40F5500 has large number of connectivity options including 3x HDMI, 2x USB (with media playback supported), Component, Composite and few others.
As you can see from this short review Samsung UN40F5500 is one capable 40-inch Full HD Smart LED TV and for the price of around $600 it seems like a very good deal.

You can also take a look at few other interesting 40-inch LED TVs like the premium Samsung UE40F7000 3D LED TV or the cheaper Samsung Series 5 D5000 40-inch LED TV and Sony Bravia KDL-40EX720

Sony KDL-55W900A Internet TV with TRILUMINOS Display

Price, specifications and review of the 55-inch Sony KDL-55W900A Internet TV with TRILUMINOS Display

Sony KDL-55W900A Internet TV
Sony KDL-55W900A Internet TV

Sony KDL-55W900A review - this 55-inch TV is probably the best we have reviewed so far. There is nothing ordinary in the Sony KDL-55W900A Internet TV and everything is on the highest possible level. Of course this exceptional quality comes at pretty high price but when we are talking about such high-end tech devices price is not that important.

Probably the most important technology in this amazing TV is the TRILUMINOS display technology. It makes colors look incredibly true and natural, unlike any other TV on the market today.

Sony KDL-55W900ACombine this with the X-Reality™ PRO picture engine, 240Hz refresh rate with Motionflow XR 960 technology and Dynamic Edge LED backlighting (with Local Dimming) and what you have is the best picture in class.

Sony KDL-55W900A is also a very sharp looking device thanks to its Quartz-cut design - slim panel with metal stand and very thin frame. The  KDL-55W900A is very elegant and will be a very nice design touch in any room.
Sony KDL-55W900A is not only a Full HD 1080p TV but also active 3D TV with 3D Sync Transmitter,  3D Super-resolution, 3D Format Support and Simulated 3D.

Sony KDL-55W900A is called Internet TV for a reason, actually plenty of reasons and here are just few of them:

  • Fast Zapping : Yes

  • Google TV Sync : YES(US/CA/MX)

  • Internet_Browser : Yes(Opera)

  • One-touch mirroring : Yes

  • Opera Apps (System) : Yes

  • Related Search : Yes

  • Screen mirroring : Yes

  • Seamless Streaming : Yes

  • Skype™ : Ready

  • Sony Entertainment Network : Yes

  • TV SideView™ : Yes

  • TV Tweet : Yes

  • Text search : Yes

  • Wi-Fi Certified : Yes

  • Wi-Fi Direct : Yes

  • Wireless LAN : Integrated

  • X2 Widget (System) : Yes

All these apps are supported thanks to the built-in fast WiFi. Of course DLNA connection is also supported.  Sony also used some clever interface for easily connecting your smartphone to the Sony KDL-55W900A and stream content on the big screen. You can also control different functions of the TV with your phone or tablet thanks to the TV SideView feature.
Here are the rest of the connection options which are available in the Sony KDL-55W900A:

  • USB 2.0 : 3x

  • AC Power Input : 1 (Rear)

  • Analog Audio Input(s) (Total) : 2 (Rear)

  • Audio Out : 1 (Side/Hybrid w/HP)

  • Component Video (Y/Pb/Pr) Input(s) : 1 (Rear/Hybrid)

  • Composite Video Input(s) : 2 (1Rear/1Rear Hybrid w/Component)

  • Digital Audio Output(s) : 1(Rear)

  • Ethernet Connection(s) : 1 (Vertical)

  • HDMI™ Connection(s) (Total) : 4

  • HDMI™ PC Input : Yes

  • Headphone Output(s) : 1 (Side/Hybrid w/Audio Out)

  • MHL : Yes

  • RF Connection Input(s) : 1 (Bottom)

  • RS-232C Input(s) : 1 (Side / Stereo Mini Jack)

The sound produced by the Sony KDL-55W900A is also on a very good level and that is thanks to the two 10W speakers with Sound Enhancer and Sound Booster. There is also S-Force Front Surround 3D sound mode which I am using quite rarely on my Sony Bravia TV (don't ask me why, it sounds a bit unnatural for me).

Of course Sony KDL-55W900A has plenty other useful features and new technologies but I decided to point out only the most important for this review.
Unfortunately the Sony KDL-55W900A has a pretty high price tag. You can find this 55-inch Internet TV for around $2300 (that's the cheapest I could find online) which is quite a lot of money for a TV. But what a TV that is...

Another great Sony LED TV with Triluminos display is the smaller and significantly cheaper ($1500) Sony Bravia KDL-42W805.

Samsung UN50F5500 50-inch Full HD Smart LED TV

Samsung UN50F5500 50-inch Full HD Smart LED TV review

Samsung UN50F5500 review
Samsung UN50F5500 50-inch Full HD Smart LED TV

Samsung UN50F5500 review - this is one of the most popular 50-inch Full HD LED TVs on the market today and that is why we decided it is worth taking a look at.

Samsung UN50F5500 is an entry level (for Samsung) 50-inch TV with Smart TV features. Its good picture quality and competitive price are the key selling points for the UN50F5500.

Looks

Honestly, I don't like the design of the Samsung UN50F5500 and the rest of the TVs from this model line (5500 series) just because of the fact that is way too shiny for my taste. I personally like clean and simple design and the Samsung UN50F5500 is just the opposite. Shiny metal stand and flickering plastics distract the attention from what is the most important - all the content on the screen. Of course I can't say the UN50F5500 is ugly looking device, I just like Sony's approach to their entry level TVs.

Hardware and features

As I already mentioned Samsung UN50F5500 performs very well on Full HD 1080p picture and together with the Clear Motion Rate 120 this big screen turns into the perfect arena for high-speed action movies and sports. Probably the biggest improvement over the previous generation Samsung Smart TVs is the fact that now they are using dual-core processing technology which makes everything work faster and smoother. That is quite obvious when using some of the Smart TV apps from the Smart Hub and when connecting to the Internet. Previous generation Smart TVs tend to work slow and unresponsive but that is all in the past thanks to the dual core technology. For this 50-inch Full HD Smart LED TV Samsung also offers nice features like web browser, Smart Interaction 2.0, ConnectShare Movie, AllShare and S-Recommendation.

Connections
There are plenty of connection options that are available in the Samsung UN50F5500 like built-in WiFi, 2x USB ports, 3x HDMI ports, DVI, RF in component and composite.

Sound

Samsung UN50F5500 delivers good sound quality but nothing special. Technologies like Dolby Digital Plus / Dolby Pulse and DTS Premium Sound 5.1 are used for improving the overall sound quality.

Warranty
Samsung UN50F5500 comes with 1-year manufacturer warranty.

Price

For a 50-inch Full HD Smart LED TV the Samsung UN50F5500 is definitely not an expensive one. Its price of around $950-1000 is definitely a fair one and make this a very good purchase.
Of course you can take a look at some very good competitors in this segment like LG 50LA620S.

Samsung UE32F5500 32-inch Smart LED TV specs and review

Samsung UE32F5500 32-inch Smart LED TV price, specifications and review

Samsung UE32F5500 TV
Samsung UE32F5500
In today's review we are taking a closer look at the Samsung UE32F5500 which is one of the latest 32-inch Full HD LED TVs by the world's largest TV manufacturer. It is one of the most affordable panels from Samsung's 5500 series. We can say the UN32F5500 is the cheaper version of the Samsung UE32F6400 which is pretty much the same TV but with 3D included.

The UE32F5500 is part of Samsung's One Design series which emphasis on thin panels with small frames and elegant stand. The overall impression from the build quality is pretty good as well but remember this is an entry level Samsung TV so you can find better quality out there (for more money of course).
Samsung UN32F5500 is a Full HD 1080p TV with maximum display resolution of  1920 x 1080.
For improving the picture quality Samsung is using some key technologies like the popular HyperReal Engine, Mega Contrast, Wide Color Enhancer (Plus) and CMR 100 (Clear Motion Rate).

Connectivity and Smart TV

Samsung UE32F5500 also offers a wide variety of Smart TV functions and with the help of the built-in WiFi connection you can easily connect to the Internet and use some of the apps from the Smart Hub or watch some shows through On TV which is available in 17 EU countries.
The sound produced by the two 10W speakers of the UE32F5500 is good but I myself would definitely use external sound / speakers with this TV. Dolby Digital Plus / Dolby Pulse, DTS Studio Sound and DTS Premium Audio 5.1 are supported by the Samsung UE32F5500.
Samsung UE32F5500 is equipped with plenty of connection options like Component In (Y / Pb / Pr), Composite In (AV), Digital Audio out (Optical), Ethernet (LAN), 3x HDMI RF In, 2x USB, Headphone jack, Scart, CI Slot and IR out.

Of course the UE32F5500 has both Analogue and Digital (Freeview) tuners.

Price

Finally it is time to talk about the price of the Samsung UE32F5500 which I think is a competitive one - around £340. Within this price range you can also buy LG 32LN575S or Sony Bravia KDL-32R420A which have similar specs and performance. Probably the Sony offers the best picture quality from those three   and the LG is the best overall package but in case you like Samsung than the UE32F5500 would be the perfect choice for you.

Sanei N10
Sanei N10 tablet

Sanei N10 is high-end cheap Android tablet with dual-core / quad-core processor and plenty of useful features.

Probably not many of you have heard about Sanei tablets but the truth is they have made some very good cheap Android tablets in the past and have some experience in making tablets (unlike many other unknown Asian brands).

Sanei N10 is very well equipped tablet, with quality hardware and very nice 10.1-inch IPS display. You can also find this tablet with the name Ampe A10 which exactly the same device. The confusing part of all this is the fact that these tablets are offered with different hardware specifications like different processors and different memory volume.

All Sanei N10 tablets come with 802.11 b/g/n WiFi for fast and easy Internet access. Other connection options include Bluetooth, GPS (built-in) and 3G (external on cheaper models). Sanei N10 has 7500mAh battery which can last for 7-8 hours of work time.

Extra features

Sanei N10 has two built-in cameras on board - one 2.0 MP front-facing camera for video and chat calls and 2.0 MP rear camera. The tablet also comes with G-sensor.

OS

You can find this 10.1-inch tablet with either Android 4.0 or Android 4.1 operating system.

Price

Depending on the hardware specifications the Sanei N10 tablet can cost around £160 - £200 which doesn't make it the cheapest 10.1-inch Google Android tablet but it is definitely one of the most capable.

I would also recommend you the very capable and yet affordable GoClever Tab R105BK tablet.

Cello C24115F 24-inch Full HD LED TV with DVD-player

Cello C24115F 24-inch 1080p Full HD LED TV with DVD-player and Freeview tuner - price. specs and short review

Cello C24115F TV review
Cello C24115F 24-inch Full HD LED TV with DVD-player

Cello C24115F review - today at our Test and Review blog we are taking a look at one of the cheap 24-inch Full HD LED TVs on the market. This is not only a 1080p TV but also a DVD-player, which is built-in, making this combo TV a perfect solution for small rooms and kitchens.

The design of the Cello C24115F TV is clean and simple. Unfortunately the panel has pretty thick frame but we should point out that the TV itself is quite thin (we've seen thinner though).

Cello C40ANSMT-4K LED-LCD TV

The panel brightness is 250 nits and the contrast ratio is 3000:1 with 16.7 million colors.

Some of the 'extras' included in the Cello C24115F LED TV are Electronic Program Guide and Digital comb filter.

The sound quality provided by this TV is not very good and some customers complaint from the poor sound from the Cello C24115F. I don't think that is something unusual for a cheap small LED TV so we shouldn't take it as a surprise.

Connection options like HDMI, USB, CI, SCART, headphone jack, YPbPr are all available in this Full HD LED TV. The DVD-player capabilities will let you playback DVD / DVD-R / DVD+R / DVD-RW / DVD format.

Probably the biggest advantage of the Cello C24115F 24-inch Full HD LED TV is its price which currently varies around £120.

Sony Bravia KDL-32W650 / KDL-32W650A review - here is another quality Full HD LED TV from Sony, the KDL-32W650 has pleasant design and offers great picture quality and Smart TV functions.
Actually this is the successor of the popular Sony Bravia KDL-32EX650 which was one of our top choices for best 32-inch Full HD TV for 2012.

Design

That is definitely one of the best looking 32-inch LED TVs on the market today. Sony Bravia KDL-32W650 is extremely thin and almost frameless.  Its stylish chrome/metal stand keeps it solid on place and also gives it a premium look and feel. Sony Bravia KDL-32W650 dimensions are: 72.5 x 43.8 x 6.9 (1.58) cm and it weighs around 6.8 kg (without stand). The overall impressions of the looks and feel of this TV are very good.

Sony KDL-32W650

Connectivity

Sony Bravia KDL-32W650 is pretty well equipped with connection options, something typical for most Sony Bravia TVs. This one has 2x HDMI, SCART in, SCART out, USB, Ethernet, PCMCIA, analogue audio in, audio out, optical audio out and D-Sub with Stereo Mini for connection with PC. Actually this is the best connectivity equipped TV in this class so this is a big advantage for the KDL-32W650 against the competition from LG and Samsung.

Sound

The 2x 5W speakers of the Sony Bravia KDL-32W650 are Bass Reflex Box type and produce good quality sound but unfortunately the are not very loud (you would probably be better with external sound for listening music). There are few sound modes to choose from - Standard, Cinema, Sport, Music, Game and compressed audio. Sony Bravia KDL-32W650 also supports S-Force Front Surround 3D and Dolby Digital / Dolby Digital Plus / Dolby Pulse.

Price

Sony Bravia KDL-32W650 is not the cheapest in the 32-inch Full HD Smart LED TV segment but it is definitely worth the money. You can find it for around 500 Euro which is a pretty good price for a quality LED panel like this one.

Samsung UE42F5500 42-inch Full HD Smart LED TV review

Price, specifications and review of the 42-inch Full HD Smart LED TV Samsung UE42F5500

Samsung UE42F5500 review
Samsung UE42F5500 42-inch Full HD Smart LED TV

Samsung UE42F5500 review - this is one of the latest offers from Samsung in the 42-inch LED TV class.  Samsung UE42F5500 is an affordable 42-inch Full HD Smart LED TV with nice clean and elegant Samsung One design and plenty of useful functions.

The UE42F5500 has very thin frame which helps it keep a relatively small dimensions for a 42-inch TV. The panel is also quite thin.

One of the mos important element of the TVs in this class is the picture quality and the 'behavior' of the LED panel in different conditions. Thankfully the Samsung UE42F5500 offers great Full HD 1080p picture quality, very good viewing angles and no backlight bleeding, ghosting or clouding effects. This TV relies on 100 Hz Clear Motion Rate and the popular Hyper Real Engine for improving the overall picture quality. Clean View and Wide Color Enhancer are two of the other technologies that are used in the UE42F5500.

The processing speed of all functions on the Samsung UE42F5500 is very fast thanks to the dual-core process technology which significantly improves the performance of most of the Smart TV features some of which used to take ages to load on older models Smart TVs.

Samsung UE42F5500 has a wide variety of Smart TV applications and built-in WiFi with WiFi direct. You can easily use this TV for browsing the Internet, using the social apps like Twitter, Skype and Facebook or just check out the latest videos on YouTube, the variety of Smart TV functions is just huge.

Samsung UE42F5500 has plenty other connection options like 3x HDMI v1.4, Component, RGB in, Scart in, Audio RCA (L/R) in, Optical out, 2x USB 2.0  (with media playback), CI Slot, RJ- 45 (Ethernet) and DLNA.

The sound quality provided by the 2x 10W speakers is also pretty good thanks to the Dolby Digital Plus/ Dolby Pulse and DTS premium audio technologies. But for best experience on such nice big screen I would always recommend a better quality and more powerful external sound system.

The price for the Samsung UE42F5500 LED TV is pretty good considering this is a premium brand TV with plenty of useful features. You can find it for around 550 Euro (around £500 in UK) which places it right next to competitors like the LG 42LN575S / 42LN575V, Samsung UE42F5700 and Sony Bravia KDL-42W650.

I would also recommend you to take a look at our short list of Best 42-inch Full HD LED TVs for 2013.

Wenger quality Swiss backpack is made in China

Wenger Swiss backpack price and quick review - why I think it is one of the best consumer backpacks on the market

Wenger Swiss backpack
Wenger quality Swiss backpack

You have probably heard about the Swiss brand Wenger and the quality products they are making. There was a huge discount campaign for selected Wenger suitcases and backpacks in the local store so I decided to take advantage of the low prices and bought myself a nice backpack.

Of course I was a bit disappointed when I saw the 'made in China' line on the tag because Wenger products are actively advertised as Swiss products and one would think quality Swiss product should be made in Switzerland not anywhere else. But I also know that almost all of the big manufacturers (worldwide) are outsourcing their businesses in China and that the Chinese can make some really quality products when they want to. That is why I decided it is worth the 18 Euro and bought the backpack.

My first impressions of this Wenger backpack were very good, it felt solidly made and the zips were probably the best I have ever tested on any bag.  The backpack looks good and it is also quite functional - it has a secure laptop section inside and few other compartments outside. The back of the backpack is padded for more comfort and also don't allow your back to sweat because the touching area is reduced to a minimum. You also have ergonomic handles that secure the backpack perfectly while carrying around.

What also surprised me is the fact they gave me a 5-year warranty with this backpack, something that is not seen very common on consumer products like this one.

No matter the fact this bag wasn't made in Switzerland I am glad I bought it, it wasn't expensive and I am sure it is going to last for quite some time.

I will share more impressions when I have it carried around for a while. I wish you safe and pleasant trip and come back later for more interesting tests and reviews.

Diztronic Samsung Galaxy Nexus case - consumer review

Samsung Galaxy Nexus Diztronic case test and review

Samsung Galaxy Nexus Diztronic case
Diztronic Samsung Galaxy Nexus case TPU case

I just wanted to share few words about the case I am using for my Samsung Galaxy Nexus smartphone and how pleased am I with it.

Diztronic Samsung Galaxy NexusI bought the Diztronic matte back TPU case (in black, also offered in translucent smoke) for my Galaxy Nexus few months ago for around $10 and it has been amazing so far.

When I first saw few tiny 'hairs' scratches on the display I decided I need a case and a friend of mine recommended few options including this flexible Diztronic case.

First of all I should mention that I ordered my from online store and the shipping was quick and the shipping and handling fees were pretty reasonable. The case also came with screen protector which I instantly installed together with the case. Both the case and the protector fitted just perfectly on my phone and it suddenly felt sturdy and more solid in the hand. Of course the dimensions of the phone  changed a little but it was definitely worth it.

Here are few images with my Galaxy Nexus equipped with the Diztronic case. The installation process was quick and effortless:

Diztronic case

The matte back of the case doesn't attract any fingerprints and it stays clean in almost any conditions (no matter the usual mess in my pockets).

My Galaxy Nexus also suffered few very bad drops on hard floors and thanks to the Diztronic TPU case it remained in one piece, in perfect working condition.

I know the Samsung Galaxy Nexus isn't for sale anymore but it is still one of the more popular phones in the world and in case you own one I strongly recommend you the Diztronic Samsung Galaxy Nexus case, it is a really bargain considering what it may have caused my to repair my phone. Diztronic also offers cases for a wide variety of phones including the most popular models from Samsung, HTC and Apple.
