Nikon COOLPIX S8200 reviewFeatures and specs of the Nikon COOLPIX S8200 digital camera

Nikon COOLPIX S8200 review. Catch those summer evening shots around the bonfire, or freeze the action of the winning goal. Fast, responsive and boasting an incredible 14x optical Zoom-NIKKOR ED glass lens, the Nikon COOLPIX S8200 will help you capture images you may previously have missed. Its 16.1-MP CMOS sensor crisply renders your view of the world—whether low light, far off fast action or sweeping panoramas. Capture sharp, clear photos and Full HD (1080p) movies using Nikon's incredible optics. Spice up stills and movies with special effects, and view everything on a 3-inch, ultra-high resolution (921,000 dot) display.
Nikon COOLPIX S8200 camera
Nikon COOLPIX S8200 digital camera

If your old camera never quite captured the moment, the S8200 will! It boasts a high-resolution, 16.1-MP CMOS sensor so you get superb image quality—even in low light. With fast, versatile, continuous shooting modes, you can capture those spontaneous moments shot after shot. Then show family and friends your movies and still creations on the 3-inch ultra-high resolution (921,000 dot) display. Stylish and compact, the S8200 tucks into a pocket but packs brilliant performance and advanced features.

Despite a slim profile of approximately 1.3-inches, the S8200 delivers amazing versatility with an incredible 14x zoom (25mm to 350mm equivalent). Imagine creating macro images of a bumblebee in a spring flower, then zooming out to frame a mountain range for a panorama. With the S8200, you can go from wide-angle to telephoto to macro/close-up views in an instant, preserving photos or movies of most everything from grandstand crowds to a stage performer's smile.
A single photo may not always be enough to recreate the moment; sometimes memories are best shared with a movie. Portable and ready when important things happen, the COOLPIX S8200 lets you create stunning Full HD (1080p) movies with stereo sound at the touch of a button. You'll love its ability to zoom in and out at will—while keeping subjects in focus. Stylize your story with one of various special effects or by recording in 15, 60 or 120 fps for fast/motion effects. Life doesn't stand still; neither should your memories.

Maybe you've wanted to create panoramic photos but thought they were too difficult. Maybe you've tried shooting photos at night but they never turn out. The S8200 takes the guesswork out of shots like these and more with handy Scene Modes at the ready. For sweeping panoramas, simply pan the camera and let it detect and automatically combine images to build a gorgeous vista. Going out at night? The S8200 takes great low-light photos. You can even create amazing HDR shots in-camera. The S8200 does the work.
Nikon COOLPIX S8200 review
Nikon COOLPIX S8200
Let the artist in you go from ordinary to extraordinary! With a variety of in-camera effects, such as Low Key, High Key, Hard Monochrome, Nostalgia Sepia or Selective Color, your world takes on a new dimension. The S8200 provides you the tools to fashion photos and movies with more than just your great eye—just select an effect and go! For your still photography, bring out your creative side with a fisheye, miniature or even an artistic look. Finally, you can make the kinds of photos and movies you've always wanted to make.

You'll never miss a shot with the S8200 because it starts right up, has a quick autofocus and shoots five shots in approximately one second at full resolution.
You'll always get a great shot with Nikon Best Shot Selector. Press the shutter once, and the S8200 takes up to ten shots and then selects and saves only the sharpest image.

HTC Jetstream tablet review

Features and specs of the 10.1 Android tablet HTC Jetstream

HTC Jetstream
HTC Jetstream review. It has been quite some time since the HTC Jetstream is for sale(also known as HTC Puccini) so we decided it is high time to take a closer look at this interesting Android v3.1 Honeycomb tablet.

HTC Jetstream has a very fast Qualcomm MSM8260 1.5 GHz dual-core processor. This really is one very capable processor. Together with the 1GB of RAM the Jetstream is quick and responsive in any situation, no matter how heavy the multitasking load is.

Mercedes E-Class cabriolet

Mercedes E-Class cabriolet test drive and review

Mercedes E-Class convertible

Mercedes E-Class cabriolet review. Today at For consumers blog we are going to take a closer look at one of the best 'summer cars'. The E-Class convertible is stylish 4-seater which offers great comfort and plenty of new technological features.
Mercedes E-Class cabriolet has a soft roof which makes it best for warm seasons. But in case this is the only car you will use the whole year the E-class cabrio will do the job just fine. The noise levels are dropped to an absolute minimum for a cabriolet and the thermal isolation is also very good. No raindrops will reach the inside of the car during the autumn rains. Actually this fabric roof is one of the best on the market today.
Mercedes E-Class cabriolet is not only comfortable but also a very dynamic vehicle. The powerful petrol engines will definitely put a smile on any driver face. The E-class cabrio also achieves a very reasonable fuel consumption.

Mercedes E-Class convertible

The interior of the car is also very stylish and comfortable at the same time. Of course the E-class convertible offers the popular Airscarf  function for greater comfort and climate conditions when the roof is down.
Mercedes E-Class cabriolet pics

Probably the biggest drawback of the Mercedes E-Class cabriolet is the price which is quite high, especially if you go for the higher spec models. Other than that the E-class cabriolet is a very good car for the money.

Nissan Altima 2013 test drive and review. Today at For consumers blog we are going to take a closer look at the all new 2013 Nissan Altima sedan.
2013 Nissan Altima review

As you probably know this is one of the best selling mid-sized sedans in North America. With the new 2013 model Nissan will try to win back some of the customers in this segment who switched to the more boring Honda and Toyota small sedans.
The 2013 Nissan Altima has new exterior design which is very similar to the previous generation but there are plenty of differences and now the car looks even more sporty and still very elegant.

The interior is more functional and more options and gadgets are available for the new Altima - super comfortable leather seats and satellite navigation are available for the higher spec models.

MID 806 tablet review

MID 806 tablet review
Features and specs of the Google Android 2.2 MID 806/MID 80006 tablet

Google Android MID 806 tablet review. Here is another cheap Google Android tablet which is also known as MID 80006.
MID 806 Android 2.2 tablet review
MID 806 tablet
This 8-inch Android 2.2 tablet hasn't got an impressive technology or stunning features but for less than a $100 that's what you will get.
MID 806 tablet has an 800MHz (WM8650) processor which isn't that fast by modern standards. The 256MB RAM is also on the low side and that is definitely going to show when multitasking or using some heavier apps.
The 8-inch TFT touchscreen is anything else but impressive. It is a resistive display with 800x480 resolution and the tablet comes equipped with stylus pen (you are definitely going to need it since the display itself isn't very responsive).
MID 806 has 2GB of built-in flash memory but you can always expand your storage space by using an optional microSD card (up to 32GB supported).
Connectivity options of the MID 806 include 802.11 b/g WiFi connection so Internet browsing is just fine with this one. As for the quality and the performance of the browsing... well that is another story.
Skype and conference calls are easy with the 3MP built-in camera with mic.
Well, these are the basics for the MID 806/MID 80006 tablet, it is an Android 2.2 device so you can download apps form the Android Market and make this cheap device work for you.
As for the price you can find the MID 806 tablet for around $90.

Features and specifications of the 10-inch Android tablet Disgo 800

Disgo 8000 review. Disgo 8000 is cheap and functional 10.1-inch Google Android tablet. It offers average performance and some good features. Most of the basic features and specs are very similar to the smaller Disgo 7000 tablet that reviewed some time ago.
Disgo 7000 tablet

The 10.1 capacitive screen has a resolution of 1024x600.
The thin Disgo 8000 tablet has 1GHz processor but only 256MB of RAM. And if the processor speed is OK for a tablet of this price range the lack of operating memory is definitely going to slow down the performance.
Disgo 8000 has only 2GB of flash memory for storage but that is easily expandable with memory cards (microSD) up to 32GB.
Connectivity options of the tablet include built-in WiFi (802.11b/g) for easy Internet connection. Disgo 8000 also has a 2.1mp front facing camera.

Disgo 8000 specifications:

Features and specifications of the compact digital camera Samsung PL120
Samsung PL120 review
Samsung PL120 review. Samsung PL120 is a 14MP cheap digital camera with 26mm wide angle lens which offers some interesting and unique features. For instance it has two LCD screens - one 1.5-inch on the front of the camera and a bigger 2.7-inch on the back. The front display of course is good for making self photos, portraits and stuff like that. The bigger back display is good enough for viewing your photos and videos even in direct sunlight.
Samsung PL120 has 5x optical zoom and 5x digital zoom. That is more than enough for most users and lets not forget this is quite a cheap device after all.
Samsung PL120 can record 720p HD videos with sound.
Here is a sample HD video captured with the PL130:
Samsung PL120 video test

Actually the quality of the recorded videos is quite good as is the sound. You can even zoom in and out while recording without any crazy from the device. Samsung PL120 leaves overall good impressions in this category.
Samsung PL120 has some additional extras like 50 different scene modes including Intelligent scene mode.
The price - Samsung PL120 costs somewhere around £60-70 (in UK) but you can find even better deals on this one as it isn't the most popular among compact digital cameras.

Meltemi Nokia

Meltemi Nokia
Nokia Meltemi OS

Meltemi Nokia. Until recently, Nokia was the largest maker of smartphones and mobile phones. Gradually the company began to lose its market share.
Earlier this year Nokia announced that it has signed an agreement with Microsoft to use its mobile platform in its future smartphones.

And now we learn that Nokia is developing a completely new operating system that will use their ordinary mobile phones (not smartphones). The OS is codenamed Meltemi. Nokia expects the new operating system to help it retain its leading position in new markets where consumers still prefer mobile phones to smartphones due to their (non-smartphones) at a lower price.
The Meltemi OS probably takes different elements of the platform MeeGo Nokia N9 - for example, touch interface, which is controlled by gestures. It is not excluded and technology compatibility Qt, which will bring the capabilities of these expensive devices to smartphones - most recently in the Qt code name appears on the Meltemi. While waiting for the Finnish company to formally present his work in this direction, a new online information about her plans
It comes from sources on the site Netbooknews, working group for mobile phones of Nokia. They say the company is preparing to launch two MeeGo cheap devices for emerging markets where smartphones are not yet sufficiently widespread and are also expensive. The new data are not limited to, but probably in the software to the platform will include elements of the work of the Norwegian company Smarterphone, which in November 2011 is a property of Nokia. Then the company said news of the deal, saying it was part of their strategy to provide mobile communications for the next billion mobile users.
In the second quarter 47% of revenue from Nokia devices and services were non-smartphones. That was reason enough for people at Nokia do something to increase sales of non-smartphones.

Nokia to launch new Meltemi cheap touch phones

New cheap Meltemi touch phones from Nokia. You may recall that some time ago in a leaked information about a new project of Nokia, called the Meltemi. The information alleged that it is a new platform for budget mobile phones that have touch screens and even multi-touch, but not based on Symbian, and a modified version of the S40.
We expect to see the first products using the new platform, May 15, when Nokia will hold a press conference in Pakistan. My Nokia Blog site says that within it we can see the models 305, 306 and 311. The first two are practically one device, but the 305 has two slots for SIM cards, and 306 – with one. Albeit in a slightly higher price range, far more interesting is 311 of which we expect Wi-Fi, 3.2MP camera, multitouch and battery with notable in-class capacity of 1000 mAh.

Meltemi will be taking a lot of interface elements MeeGo (Nokia N9), such as the three navigation screen, but will include like Android and Symbian components such as drop-down list of notifications.

Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-HX10V review. Some time ago we reviewed the Cyber-Shot DSC-HX9V and we liked it a lot. Actually it was one of the best point and shoot digital cameras we've come upon.
Now there is a new model which claims to be even better, so lets take a closer look at the Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-HX10V digital camera.

Main features
The DSC-HX10V has 1/2.3-inch Super HAD CCD image sensor and 18.2 million effective pixels. With the huge 16x optical zoom you won't have to worry about distance. That's one of the highest ever zoom lenses inserted in a compact camera. This zoom is just amazing for such a small device. And if this is not enough you can always try the 32x digital zoom.

2012 BMW X6 M video review

2012 BMW X6 M video review

A closer look at the powerful SUV BMW X6 M

2012 BMW X6 M review. Today we are going to take a look at the fastest production SUV on the market today. Probably many of you would say that isn't true claiming that Porsche or some other brand has something better than that but the truth is that the X6 is the real speed and handling king among supersport SUVs.
The 2012 BMW X6 M has aggressive styling and that is of course for a reason, this is not an ordinary SUV after all.
Under the hood a there is a 4.4-liter turbocharged V8 with around 555hp. That is quite a lot but remember the X6 M is a pretty heavy vehicle.
The engine utilizes BMW’s M TwinPower and patented exhaust manifold technologies to increase thrust and pulling force, while preserving the most compact dimensions possible. Two low-mass twin-scroll turbochargers are positioned together with the catalytic converters in the V section between the two banks of cylinders. By reversing the flow of gases through the engine from traditional arrangements, the intake and exhaust ducts are shortened and widened. The result is that pressure losses on the exhaust side are minimized.
The goals were to virtually eliminate turbocharger lag while maximizing combustion efficiency and power output. The new M V8 engine with twin-scroll twin turbo technology uses a single exhaust manifold with tuned-length runners, incorporating both cylinder banks and connecting cylinders in carefully selected pairs. This configuration, patented by BMW M and known as Cylinder-bank Comprehensive Manifold (CCM), offers quick response, a linear build-up of engine power, and a broad, consistent torque curve by feeding each of the twin turbochargers with a “charge pulse” at approximately every 90 degrees of crankshaft rotation, rather than the more traditional “irregular schedule” of charging.
Coupled with special suspension specifically optimized for M that features Adaptive Drive and the newly developed M Servotronic power steering, the performance Sport Activity Vehicle promises very competent handling. Other high-tech features include launch control for maximum acceleration and a six speed M Sport automatic transmission optimized for performance. Drivers can manually select gears using either paddles or an electronic gear selector lever. Electronically controlled, variable power distribution to the front and rear axle prevents even the slightest tendency to over- or understeer right from the start, before DSC Dynamic Stability Control is even required to cut in. BMW is referring to the new 4.4-liter motor as its “M TwinPower Turbo” unit. The name reflects the fact that the motor features Twin Scroll Twin Turbo Technology and a common exhaust manifold encompassing both rows of cylinders. Although traction control is standard, the M Dynamic Mode (MDM) greatly optimises the aggressiveness of the system. The MDM setting allows the driver to enter a controlled drift and push the vehicle’s handling to the limit. There is also a DSC-Off Mode which allows some drifting experiments with the huge X6 SUV.

Subaru XV test drive and review. Here is the all new small SUV form Subaru. The XV is a brand new model for the Japan company and it is aiming at small SUV markets where customers prefer cars like the Audi Q3 and BMW X1. The new Subaru may even take some of the market share of the bigger Forester which has bigger interior space, better functionality and looks less sporty.

Actually Subaru XV is part of the crossover segment where competition is really strong and there are many new models in this class lately.
So what else is interesting about the Subaru XV except for the crossover eye-catching design of the rims. There are plenty of interesting features like the big ground clearance which will help those who will take this crossover for some light off-road.

Yarvik GoTab Zetta tablet review

Price, features and specifications of the Yarvik GoTab Zetta tablet

Yarvik GoTab Zetta tablet

Today I would focus my attention to a beautiful Yarvik GoTab Zetta tablet and its consumer product review. Yarvik GoTab Zetta is a 9.7-inch Android 4.0.3 (Ice Cream Sandwich) tablet. It is one of the high-spec Sweex Yarvik tablets.

Tablet features and specifications
Yarvik GoTab Zetta tablet has a fast 1.2 GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor, 1GB of DDR3 RAM and about 8GB space for storage.

The 9.7-inch (24.6 cm) capacitive 10-point multi-touch screen of the Yarvik GoTab Zetta tablet has a scratch-resistant surface. It's an IPS display working at resolution of 1024x768 pixels and has 16.7 million colors. It is a nice display, with bright images and vivid colors.

The graphics performance is provided by the Mali-400 Dual Core graphics which offers up to 2160p QuadHD playback. It is also OpenGL 2.0 compatible. This is one of the powerful graphic chipsets inserted in a tablet and it offers quite an amazing experience on the go.
On the rear side of the Yarvik GoTab Zetta tablet there is a 2.0 megapixel camera with VGA video recording capability. The front facing camera makes images and videos only in VGA resolution.
As we already mentioned the place for storage is 8GB but you can easily expand it to 32GB with the help of a microSD card.

Connectivity options of the Yarvik GoTab Zetta tablet include fast 802.11b/g/n WiFi connection. The built-in ports and interfaces include mini HDMI out, micro-USB host, micro-USB slave and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

As most new tablets the Yarvik GoTab Zetta tablet uses the latest Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. Of course this means you can download as many apps as you want from the Android Market.

The battery of the Yarvik GoTab Zetta is 8000mAh Li-Pol and it will usually hold charge for around 5-6 hours of work before you need to recharge it again.

2012 Chevrolet Sonic LTZ review

2012 Chevrolet Sonic LTZ test drive and review

Chevrolet Sonic LTZ test drive and review. Today we are going to take a look at this small car that seems to be a real best seller recently. Probably even Chevrolet didn't expect that their Sonic will turn into such a success.
In other locations different from North American, Canadian, Mexican, Chilean, Japanese, Israeli, Middle East and South African markets this vehicle is also known as Chevrolet Aveo.
Actually this is the second generation Sonic.
The North American-spec Sonic is available as a 4-door sedan or five-door hatchback. It comes with a 1.8-liter inline-four producing 101 kW (135 hp) and 169 N·m (125 lb·ft) torque, or a 1.4-liter turbo inline-four producing 103 kW (138 hp) and 201 N·m (148 lb·ft) torque. The 1.8-liter engine has a timing belt; the 1.4L turbo engine uses a timing chain to drive the camshafts. The 1.8-liter inline-four is mated to a standard five-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission, while the 1.4-liter turbo has a six-speed manual transmission. On August 2, 2011, the Sonic had entered production at Orion Assembly, with the first cars arriving at dealerships in October.

The Chevy Sonic uses a water-based “three-wet” paint process that eliminates the need for a primer bake oven. This process reduces the paint shop footprint by 10 percent and requires 50 percent less process energy per vehicle built. Chevy is the first automaker in the United States to use this process. It is of note that the Chevrolet Sonic is the only Subcompact car sold in North America that is built within the United States, in Lake Orion, Michigan.
Price - the 2012 Chevrolet Sonic costs around $20,000 (fully equipped) which somewhere in the middle of this car segment. Of course you can choose some of the cheaper version of the Sonic starting from around $15,000.

Features, specs and review of the Ainol Novo 7 Aurora Android 4.0 tablet

Ainol Novo 7 Aurora tablet review. Today we are going to take a look at the new Ainol Novo 7 tablet which has improved specifications and a bit higher price.
Ainol Novo 7 Aurora is a 7-inch Android 4.0 tablet with fast 1.5GHz Allwinner Many COR A10, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of flash memory for storage.
The 7-inch (17.78 cm) IPS display of the Novo 7 Aurora is producing nice, crisp images with decent resolution of 1024x600 pixels. It is bright enough for viewing in direct sunlight and almost from any angle.
It is also a capacitive 5-point multi-touch screen so operations like pinch to zoom and others like that will run just fine on the Novo 7 Aurora tablet.
Connectivity options of the Ainol Novo 7 Aurora tablet include 802.11 b/g/n WiFi but unfortunately no built-in GPS connection.

One miniUSB port, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a TF card slot are also available in this tablet.
Generally the tablet is fast and responsive (unlike some other cheap Android tablets) and you may experience big lags only when heavy multitasking.

The operating system of the Ainol Novo 7 Aurora is Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0.3) which is one of the newest Google Android operating system. As you probably know the previous model - Ainol Novo 7 Paladin is the first tablet using the Android 4.0 operating system. Of course as a fully functioning Android device you can enjoy all the apps from the Android Market.

Price

The price of the Ainol Novo 7 Aurora tablet is very competitive, considering some of the high-tech features it has. You can find this tablet for around $200 (£140 in UK) which in my opinion is a good price for a fast Android 4.0 tablet with IPS display and 1GB RAM.

2013 Mercedes A-Class review

2013 Mercedes A-Class review

Test drive and video review of the all new 2013 Mercedes-Benz A-Class

2013 Mercedes A-Class test drive and review. We are going to take a closer look at the all new Mercedes-Benz A-class which is completely redesigned and with plenty of new technological features.
2013 Mercedes A-Class front view
2013 Mercedes A-Class front view
As you will see the new 2013 Mercedes A-class has new looks which are completely different from the previous generation of this model. Now the car sits lower and has similar looks to the slightly bigger B-class. Other than that the A-class remains a small vehicle which will suit best urban places and heavy city traffic.
With those looks and with the improved dynamics the all new A-class will face its biggest rival from BMW - the 1-series which is very similar in shape and size but the Bavarian will have the advantage of BMW's driving dynamics.

The interior of the 2013 Mercedes A-class has also improved significantly. Now it feels much more upmarket and luxurious. The dash is dominated by the iPad styled info-display, very similar to the one in the 1-series BMW. The classic circle air vents are an interesting design feature that makes the interior look more stylish, just like in an Italian car.
2013 Mercedes A-Class
2013 Mercedes A-Class interior view
As for the engines and transmissions there will be many changes that will make the new A-class more dynamic and more fuel efficient than ever before. Of course small diesel models will be the most popular choices as this is a small car after all. A mild hybrid will also take part in Mercedes green line of engines.
All so far is good news but try to order the new A-class with all features and options and here comes the surprise. No matter this is the smallest vehicle in Mercedes range its price is definitely not small at all.
So is the new Mercedes A-class going to be a success... well may be, considering the brand still has strong positions in the luxury car segment but we do not expect it to overcome other luxury minis like the BMW 1-series or Audi A3.

Dell Inspiron N5050 laptop reviewed
Dell Inspiron N5050  review - this cheap 15.6-inch laptop is best for those who want to have high quality brand laptop but without spending too much for it. I personally prefer the Latitude model line which is more sturdy and productive but of course comes at a higher price. In the last couple of years I also used couple Dell Latitude laptops and I think it is definitely worth upgrading to the Latitude series even though you will have to pay more, it is definitely worth it.
